Emma's POV:

"Did you know about this?", I ask Sam as soon as we enter my room. 

"Bitch, if I knew, I would totally have told you!". 

I throw my backpack to the floor and lay in bed. "I just don't get why he didn't tell me". 

"Look, Ethan told me it was kind of an emergency, so maybe he didn't have time". 

I sit in my bed to face her directly, "Maybe but.... it just seems so weird! I am going to call him right now". I say picking my phone. 

"Stop!", she says taking it away from my  hands. 

"Sam! I need to know if he is ok!"

"Trust me! he is!", she exclaims. 

"Who side are you in? Because as far as I know you don't have a clue of what is going on right?". She doesn't say anything, and it hits me. "Oh my God, you know.... Ethan told you! SAM! What the fuck? why don't you tell me?!". 

"Emma, I DON'T KNOW! I swear to God! I am just keeping you from calling him because you are over reacting! Maybe he just went out of town to clear his mind!". 

I roll my eyes and lay in bed again. It was pointless to fight with her, she won't let me call him. And maybe, just maybe she is right, I am over reacting. I am his girlfriend, and after all, he would have told me if something wrong was happening.

*A day later*

As soon as I park my car, I walk straight to Ethan's parking spot. He was still not there, but I was willing to wait. I need to talk with him. 

After 15 minutes he finally arrives. "Hi Emm-". 

"Ethan, we need to talk", I say. 

"Ok.... Is this about Gray?". 

"I can't help it! I am still worried!". 

"Emma, everything is going to be fine! He called me last night and told me he will arrive today, and he will even come to school", he laughs. 

"Really?"

"Yes! and I am sure that he will explain everything to you... to us, because I don't know what happened either", he smiles. 

"Hey babe!", Sam says approaching us and kissing Ethan. 

"Ughh get a room", I roll my eyes and laugh. 

"Not my fault your boy is another town. Btw, how are you feeling?". 

"Ethan just told me he will be back today, so, I am better now", I laugh. 

"Told you! you were over reacting!". 

After that the three of us walk to math class, which was boring as fuck. Ethan received a text from Grayson that he was already at school. I was kind of weird he didn't check my messages, but I didn't pay much attention to that, he will probably explain everything to me. 

.... 

"So, where is Grayson?", Mary says lifting a brow. 

"Um... he didn't come to school yesterday  or the day before yesterday because he... he kind of left town for a couple of days", I say taking a bite from my salad. 

The cafeteria was full of people. My brother and Jackson are still friends, they still sit in the same table with Ethan and the rest of the football team.
