Emma's POV:

I put my books in my locker, and I see everyone staring at the door because Sam is walking in. When there is a new student here, everyone makes such a big deal of it. They try to investigate his or her life, and see how "powerful" she is. I hate this society, they only care about money and position sometimes. 

She walks with her face up, and approaches directly to me. 

"Hi Emma", she hugs me. "How are you feeling?". 

"I am good thanks". Not a total lie, I promised myself I would not let that asshole Jackson ruin my life or days. I am done with him. "Hows your first day going?", I laugh. 

"Better now that I found you!", she laughs too. 

By now, I spotted my friends entering the hallways too. "Come on, I want to introduce you to my friends". 

We approach them, "hey guys, how are you?". 

"Hey Emma!", they say. 

"Bitch, where have you been?! I have been texting you non stop since yesterday", Jane says. 

"Oh my God, I am sorry, my phone died", I try to make up an excuse. "But anyways... girls, this is Sam. She is new to the school". 

Sam smiles and says hi. They all introduce with their names, and I can't help but notice Sasha is acting weird. Thats why I decided to say, "I hope we can all be friends! She is truly amazing". 

"Wait.. you knew each other already?", Sasha asks. 

I froze. I can't say we met at Grayson's house, nor that I have spend the last 24 hours with her and the twins... But before I could say anything Sam saves me. 

"Oh, well... Emma is the queen bee of this school right? So I approached her to say hi. Besides, Ethan is friends with her brother, so he told me Emma was an awesome girl", she smiles. 

"Wait... you also know Ethan?", Jane asks. "You are updating fast!", she laughs winking to her. 

"Yeah...", Sam laughs nervously. 

"They are dating", I say. All of them looked directly to me, including Sam. "What?", I ask. "Oh sorry, was it a secret?". 

"Oh no, anyway you guys would have known", she smiles. I guess she didn't want to mention Ethan,  because of what I told her about Sasha.

"Well, the class starts in like 5 minutes, should we get going?", Mary says. 

"Yeah sure!", I smile and we began walking. But Sasha grabbed my arm and dragged me separately from the group. 

"Sasha.. what is wrong?", I ask. 

"What is wrong?! Emma... are you considering including her in our group!", she asks mad. 

I laugh a little, "look, I know you like Ethan, but that doesn't mean we can't be friends with her!". 

"You are kidding right? You want to be friends with the devil! She stole Ethan from me!". 

"What?", I laugh again. 

"This is not funny Emma!". 

"Sasha... you and Ethan never dated! She didn't do anything", I look at her confuse. Does she really thinks he had a thing for her, he just asked her for her number at the party... he didn't exactly proposed. "Besides, I really think Sam is a great girl. I really like her and feel like I can trust her. And if you have a problem with that, you better start dealing with it, because I am actually going to ask her to sit with us at lunch!", I say in a serious tone. I don't like to impose myself, but she is kind of disrespecting Sam just because Ethan 'preferred' her. "Besides, you don't even know her! Give her a chance and you will see how awesome she is", I smile trying to convince her. I don't like causing problems, and of course, not between my friends.
