where did the moon go?

she hid away the parts
that no one likes seeing
learnt the hard way

she was 16 when
she thought she had
someone who cared for
her

he always shut
down her issues

didn't like
hearing them

and so she learned
not to trust so easily

and so she learned
to hide away what
shouldn't be seen
by the public eye

she hates loud noises
she jumps every time she's touched
people ask why?
she tried to tell them
they didn't want to hear it

and so she learned
to trust nobody but
herself
