moon?
i have a question for youwhen did it become
easier to let a screen
tell us how to think
and feel than to let a
page from a book tell
us that we can think
and feel whatever we want?why does the dark
scare me so much?
that when i have to
turn the light off to
go to sleep and i can
no longer turn the
pages of my book
that i now have to
deal with my own
thoughts and issuesthe best kind of feeling
is when you feel the emotions
and fear a character has
in the story
to let their problems
become your own and
to try to think of ways
you could solve it
if you were them or with thembut it's terrifying when
you have to deal with
your own problems and
no omniscient reader
can help you find
the correct solution
and even if someone
was here with you reading
along with you
about your problem
they have no voice
or reason in the solutionyour author gets to decide
who lives and who dies
who gets a happy ending
and who doesn't
whether they end up together
in the end or not
and whether your problem
has an easy solution that
follows out seamlesslybut for now
the problems us characters
face are up to our author to decide
and we worry about how
big its impact is right now
but we won't know if
it will resolve quickly
or if it will spiral out of controland moon i'm scared
will my author be kind to me?
can i trust my author?
will my author hurt me?
