Past-Tense

I was indecisive- and it came with the fact that I was once immature, and innocent. My life had often rotated on I was indecisive- and it came with the fact that I was once immature, and innocent. My life had often rotated on its own axis. To me, there were more than a hundred reasons why a boy like you could never have a girl like me, and how a girl such as myself, was undeserving of a man like you.

We were both young and lost in each others eyes.

Lost in each others touch- and smiled shyly at the soft brush of the tickling fires of desire.

You were the sun, and I was not the moon,
I was earth. Relaying on your rays to nourish me.
To help me grow and shine.

But then the truth came sipping in though the cracks- and darkness came to take away my light.

She called out to me, and entrapped me in her arms, whispering softly with a voice echoing inside my head.

'He does not deserve you'

I shouldn't have listened.

For now- I stand here shuttered, aimlessly swaying like tumble weeds in the desert.
My heart breaking like the cracks of dry dirt during the drought.

You were the sun, and I was the earth.
We were in love- but we never could have each other.

How I wish I never heard the voice of the night- eating out my flesh and smugly laugh in my misery.

Because now everything is Past-tense, and my future with you are forgotten.
