The Nature's Brightness {Book One}

Prolouge

Pale moonlight shone onto a fresh grass clearing. In it were four Pokémon. A Vaporeon, Jolteon, and two newborn Eevees.

The female blinked open her dark brown eyes, taking in the world and found her mother and father smiling down at her. Creeped out by their staring, she backed up until she bumped into her brother.

He shot a quick surprised glance at her then at his parents.

Ruby, the Vaporeon, laughed lightly. "Well then."

Ruben smirked down at his kids. "Impressive little children. I'm sure you'll be raised into great fighters. Especially the male." (*cough* Sexiest *cough*)

His mate frowned. "Now, Ruben, that isn't all they're for. I mean, they're our kids."

"Yeah, but what about their names?" Ruben turned to the boy who had walked away while they were having their conversation. The Eevee now sat calmly on a hill watching the night sky.

"That one is going to turn into a Jolteon like his father. So I'm thinking something like... Lightning?" Ruben suggested. It didn't quite sound like it was much of a option.

Ruby grunted slightly. "He'll evolve into what Arcues has planned for him. I'm thinking- Star."

"That sounds kinda original." Ruben lashed his ear at her dismissively.

"I said Star."

"Fine, Star."

After she won that argument, her gaze was adjusted to the one female. "Any ideas for her I'll have to crush?"

"None specifically." Ruben shrugged his shoulders, uninterested.

"Nature."

"You choose the most cliché names."

"They'll make them work." Ruby grinned at her children. "I know they will."

Nature stared at Star, who was, ironically, staring at the stars. She hopped over to him, poking him over and over and over again.

All she got was his blank gaze.

I have a feeling this sibling relationship is going to end great. Nature thought.
