The Nature's Brightness {Book One}

Chapter 23

Nature shook her sadness away and sat up. She looked at Lucas and Cross because they are mainly the leaders of the group because they don't do anything stupid and they usually give out the orders and crud.
"Sooooo," she looked at them then at Star. She backed away leaving Blossom to him. "What are we going to do with Star exactly? He already had that nasty head injury. And it's bleeding again, now with his current wounds," she flicked her tail worried. "If we move him home he might bleed more."
(Oh my gawd. Nature's being sensible for once. WHY THE HECK IS SHE- oh wait it's probs cuz her brother is may or may not be dying :P)
"We could settle down here..." Cross looked around, her red gaze scanning the forest around them.
"You are aware we are near the border?" Lucas said. "We've never been outside Sky Forest. Who knows what's out there?"
"That's why," Cross looked back at him. "A certain someone with a certain gift to see miles away is going to stay up and patrol." She smirked at him. Though Nature could see a bit a playfulness in her gaze.
(That's just cold Cross. That's just cold XD)
Lucas flicked his ear. "I wouldn't mind-"
"And im doing it with you." Cross added.
"Shouldn't you be getting sleep?" Lucas asked.
"Me?" Cross raised one eye brow at him with a faint smile. "Who's the one that trains 24/7?"
"And," Lucas looked back at her. "Who's the one that just told me to patrol?"
"AYE." Nature stopped them. "NO ONE CARES ABOUT YOUR LITTLE SOME WHAT CUTE FIGHTS-"
"What?" They both said at the same time.
"BUT WE GOT MY BROTHER TO FORCE TO LIVE AND I AINT GIVING UP THE CHANCES HE LIVES. NO EVERYONE, GET YOUR ASS UP, AND SAVE SOME LIVES HERE!"
"Nature," Lucas looked at her. "We haven't even planned what we are going to do yet."
Nature did a derp face. (AAAAAND WASTED XD)
"Or Blossom could use Physic on Star and carry him home?" Cross looked at the ground.
Nature tilted her head at her. Was she brain dead from something? (Flashbacks,aye? -w-)
Lucas shook his head. "No, no.. Dark types can't be affected by physic types."
"I knew that!" Cross bolted up right.
Nature did a derp face. Or did chu?
"Why don't we get Kim to patch up his wounds with something? Then I'll carry him back." Lucas offered.
"Sounds good enough..." Cross slithered to Kim. "Kim, can you cover Star's wounds with something so he won't bleed out?"
Kim looked at Star's wounds and nodded. "Yeah." She ran off into the woods sniffing the air.
Nature sat beside Blossom. "Bloss? You okay?"
"No..." Blossom sniffed. "What if he doesn't make it?"
Oh crap I can't say that won't happen. She looked at Star's wounds. He could live, but is it likely? (DUN DUN DUUUUUUUUN!)
"If he doesn't make it you know he won't give up on you." Nature assured.
Blossom blinked, tears still in her eyes. "Wow Nature... that was actually really dee-"
"Of course you'll probably give up on him. Probs find someone else. WHY YOU RUIN SLOSSOM BLOSS?!" Nature shook her. (Aaaaand we're back XD)
Blossom frowned. "Now isn't the time Nature..." she whispered.
Kim emerged from the bushes after a few moments of awkward silence.
"I got some herbs." She padded over to Star and started laying herbs on his wounds.
"Will he live?" Blossom sat up and looked at her hopefully.
Kim didn't answer, not looking up from her work.
Blossom frowned and buried her muzzle into Star's fur.
Nature frowned and looked around. Where's Gatorade? She tilted her head not seeing him anywhere in sight.
"Is he ready?" Lucas walked up with a worried expression running across his face.
"Yes." Kim stepped back and nodded for Lucas to pick him up.
Lucas gently picked Star up into his arms, keeping him in his grip. "Alright." He looked towards home. "Let's go."

Nature watched as Lucas set Star down carefully on a bed made of leaves. Star let out a small sigh as he was set down.
Blossom teared up more and ran to him, ignoring Lucas saying to do otherwise and pressed her forehead against his neck. "Come on Star..." she said in barely more then a whisper.
"He's still unconscious.." Kim stepped up beside them.
"But not ded." Nature looked at her.
Kim looked at Star. "Anyways, We should all be getting some sleep. We all need to rest our heads after a day like this. I'm sure it will do us some good."
"Ruben may still be out there. I'm staything up." Lucas looked from Star to Kim.
"Lucas, you were training a while ago, you deserve to rest." Cross looked at him with a frown.
"I don't need to." Lucas promised.
"Lucas-" Cross was interrupted by Jewel and she ran into their home.
"WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON?!" Jewel demanded as she ran up to Star.
"Dad." Nature answered and backed up leaving Blossom to Star.
"I told you we couldn't trust him!" Jewel lashed her tail in rage. "And now look what he did!"
"Dad wasn't all that bad before this okay?!" Nature snapped, starting to get defensive. Flashbacks of her when she was first born filled her mind. Her, Star, and Ruben play fighting. Ruben telling them stories. What went wrong to bring it to this?
"How are you sticking up for him?!" Jewel asked with eyes narrowed at Nature. "Look what he just did to your own brother!"
"He must've had reasons!" Nature shot back.
"Everyone calm down!" Lucas stopped them and spread them away from each other with his hands. "You all get some sleep and we'll figure this out in the morning? Okay? Okay."
Cross flicked her tail and slithered towards the boulders, her head down. Kim followed with Jewel behind her.
Nature looked at Star's rising and falling flank before she laid down at the roots of her and Star's tree. She flicked her tail in unease and closed her eyes. He'll be alright...

"GUYS!" Blossom's voice called between gasps and sobs. "SOMETHINGS WRONG WITH STAR!"
