Chapter 22

Nature's P.O.V
Nature sat talking to the others. Ruben and Star had left a short bit ago to catch up.
"Ruben seems nice..." Kim was leaning over Jewel, making sure her wounds were healing.
"Seems." Grunted Jewel. "I don't like the feeling I get from him..."
"What about him?" Blade asked with a derp face.
"Did you not here him? When he saw Nature he said 'Ah, the one who's not a disappointment'." Jewel winced as Kim ran a paw down one of her wounds.
"Hm..." Cross looked at the ground. Nature looked at her, her gaze was unreadable. As if she was having flash backs.
Blossom flicked her tail back and forth, her eyes worried. "Even If that's true... he wouldn't hurt Star... right?"
"Of course!" Kim looked at her. "It's his own son! Who would hurt their family?!"
Lucas's silence ended. "Everyone has their reasons, Kim. No one in this world is perfect, but some are just plain horrible..." he murmured.
Nature did a derp face. Oml there is so much I dunno about these people.
Kim frowned at Lucas, she sighed. "I know... but I refuse to believe it..."
Lucas only flicked his ear in response.
"WAIT-" Blade sat up and leaped down from the trees. "Green girl, you're Star's sister, so you should know, right?"
Nature blinked at him. "They never had the closest relationship." Nature crossed eyes. "But I'm sure we have nothing to worry about."
"If we keep bickering about it we'll never know." Cross looked up from the ground. "And they should be at the stream by now. They're pretty far away-"
Lucas's ears pricked. "Someone's coming."
Kim blinked at him. "Wh-?"
She was broke off as a Absol ran into their home. "SEMPAI!" The Absol looked at Lucas with heart eyes. "I HAVENT SEEN YOU IN FOREVER!!!"
Nature looked at the Absol with a derp face, recognizing Tricksy. She was their with the others when she and Aqua had been rescued from Team Rocket. When Nature first came into Sky Forest.
"Heh..." Lucas smiled a bit, Nature could tell it was awkwardly.
Cross lashed her tail. "Tricksy, did anyone ever teach you not to barge in?"
"HEY!" Tricksy glared at Cross. "YOURE JUST JELOUS BECAUSE SEMPAI IS MIIIINE!"
Blade gasped at them and ran beside Nature.
"Green Girl! We got drama on our hands!"
Nature put her paws up. "YEET!"
"Tricksy- now isn't really the tim-" Lucas started.
"EXCUSE ME?!" Cross glared back at her.
"YOU HEARD ME!" Tricksy shot back.
Nature did a derp face and looked at Kim. "Su, how often does dis happen?"
"Every time Tricksy is around." Kim flicked her tail with a frown. "I think Tricksy doesn't know what true love really is..."
"Wut do you mean by that?" Nature looked at Cross and Tricksy fighting.
"Well... I get Lucas is attractive, but I don't think that Tricksy knows how it actually feels to love..." (AL2424 'S WORDS, NOT MINE XD)
Blossom backed away from the drama. "So... we are going to completely forget about Star and deal with this?" She shifted her paws.
Nature did a derp face. "PWETTY MUCH!"
Blade did a thumbs up. "Yup."
Blossom frowned. "I'll go look for him myself then..." she got to her paws.
Nature shrugged and looked back at the drama.
"I SWEAR TO GOD," Cross grunted. "YOU NEED TO LEARN TO LEAVE POKEMON TO BE! LUCAS DOESNT WANT TO BE AROUND YOU!"
"NONSENSE!" Tricksy snapped. "SEMAPI WILL BE WITH ME FOREVER! WE ARE DESTINED TO BE TOGETHER!"
"HAVE YOU EVER CONSIDERED LUCAS'S FEELINGS?!" Cross's gaze was sharp, stabbing into Tricksy.
"Guys! Quiet!" Lucas stood between them. "I heard something..."
"What?" Kim looked at Lucas.
"Hm?" Cross slowly took her burning gaze from Tricksy to Lucas.
"I didn't hear anything from this mess." Jewel lashed her tail.
Lucas raised his aura sensors, his eyes closed a bit.
Blossom looked at him, her gaze worried.
She's wondering if it was Star. Nature realized. Mwehehehe... SLOSSOM- WAIT WAS IT BROTHER?! OOOOO I GET TO KICK SOMEONES BUTT!!!
Lucas sensors jolted upwards and he opened his eyes again.
"Lucas?! What's wrong?!" Cross asked.
"SEMPAI ARE YOU OKAY?!" Tricksy' eyes widened.
"It's Star..." Lucas murmured. "I heard a scream...and made out the vision of Star on the ground-"
"No time to waste then!" Blossom lashed her tail. "Let's Go!"
"I knew we couldn't trust Ruben..." Jewel grunted, getting to her paws.
"You stay here." Kim stopped her. "You're not fully healed."
Jewel snorted but didn't argue, laying back down.
"And you stay here too, Kim." Cross looked at her friend. "In case Ruben comes here or anyone else."
Kim nodded.
"LETS GOOOOO!" Nature sprang up and down. "LEAD THE WAY DUCAS!!"
Lucas dashed into the forest, his eyes gaze darting through the trees.
Cross, Blossom, Blade, and Nature ran after him. Ready to fight.
"Lucas, how far away are they?" Cross questioned slithering swiftly with them.
"About half a mile!" Lucas answered as he picked up speed.
"Half a mile?" Blade frowned. "What are the chances we are going to get there in time?"
"We are going to get there!" Blossom said determined. "We have to!"
"Of course you would want to, I mean after all..." Blade smirked. "You are a coup-"
"BLADE! SERIOUSLY NOT THE TIME!" Blossom lashed her tail running to the front with Lucas and Cross.
Nature did a derp face. "She knows they are." She thought out loud. I wonder if Brother is safe thought. I dunt think dad would hurt him, right? Nature's thought stopped as she had flashbacks of her brother being thrown to the ground by Ruben in their 'training.' Okay. Maybe not. Nature answered herself.
She ran at the back, worried about her brother. Wondering if Ruben really had hurt him. I WILL KICK WHAT HIS MAMA GAVE HIM IF HE HURT BROTHER!
Lucas halted. "I think... we're here." He took a few steps forward and peered through the trees.
Nature peeked as well, through the trees she could see a open clearing. The setting sun's light trickled down into it. It seemed so peaceful, until Nature caught the shape of a Umbreon laying on the ground, paralyzed, since Nature could see electricity running down his body every bit, and limp.
Beside her, Blossom's eyes widened. She dashed to Star and nudged him. "Star? Star?!" She shook him quicker.
Lucas followed her and looked down at Star. He looked back up.
Blade and Cross followed.
Blade looked down at Star, silent for a moment then raised his eyes up. "Where is Ruben?"
Lucas raised his paw and blue aura started to form around it, he swiftly aimed it at a tree and fired. A Jolteon fell out.
Ruben smirked. "Good eye there."
"Don't even try..." Cross glared at him.
Blossom stood in front of Star, glaring at Ruben. "Why did you do this?!"
"Why wouldn't I after what happened?" Ruben shot back.
"Shut. Up!" Cross grunted. "Ruben, I here by band you from this forest!"
"What can you do to stop me?" Ruben glared back at her.
"Challenge excepted..." Lucas grabbed Ruben and threw him up into the air. "You're not going to listen to reason?" He asked.
Ruben grunted as he was in the air. "Never!"
"Very well..." Lucas jumped up into the air and used Power Up Punch on Ruben, sending him flying through the trees. Ruben snarled and then fainted.
"Guys!" Blossom called. "What are we going to do?!" She looked down at Star, tears in her eyes.
Nature ran by her side and looked down at her brother. "BROTHER! DONT YOU DARE DIE ON ME!"
"Blossom... Nature..." Kim looked down at Star and padded up to them. "If we don't help him..."
Cross pulled up beside her. "Then he could die..."
Lucas's ears pricked, his eyes narrowed triggered. His fist clutched. "Oh ho ho... change of plans, instead of making Ruben faint-"
Cross grabbed his arm with her tail pulling him back. "Lucas, it's not worth it..." she frowned.
Lucas looked at Star.
Cross continued. "Star would let him go, he wouldn't want you to injure him more, would he?"
"...But if Star dies..." Lucas went beside Blossom Kim and Nature.
Nature looked at him. Her head tilted. She saw Ruben wake up and look at them, he scrambled to his paws and ran away from them as fast as he could.
Lucas noticed to. "Then I'm not letting him get away with it..." he looked down at Star.
