Lindsey's POV
We were still driving home from Sean's house.
I was silent and so was brad, Jay was now asleep and we didn't want to wake him so we decided to just keep quiet. So many thoughts flooded my mind like 'how did brad find me' 'where was Gordon' 'who's taking care of him'. I couldn't focus until brad touched my hand that was rested on my lap. He looked at me with a small but reassuring smile and I couldn't help but smile back. He rubbed my hand, while still driving through the dark night. Suddenly he just stopped at the side of the road and grabbed a blanket which was beside Jay and handed it to me, I wrapped it round my frozen body. He gently put another blanket over Jay without waking him. He continued driving, still holding my hand, I slowly began to fall into a deep sleep.
I was woken by the sound of brad whispering in my ear "Lindsey" he whispered making me open my eyes slightly. I rubbed my eyes and sat myself back up. I opened the car door and walked round to Jay's, I gently picked him up and wrapped a blanket round him to keep him warm. I walked towards the door with brad holding my waist keeping me warm. Brad opened the door to reveal gordon sitting on the steps with James, Connor and Tristan playing connect 4.
"Mummy, daddy who's that" he says with confusion spread across his little face. I knelt down and let him see his little brother.
"Sweetheart this is your new brother Jay" I said with brad kneeling down as well. He smiled at brad and I and all of a sudden Jay's eyes started opening, Jay smiled at Gordon then gordon wrapped his arms around Jay giving him a hug.
Later on at night
I layer Jay down in his bed with his bear and gave him a kiss goodnight while brad stood in the doorway and watched with a smile on his face, I turned the light out and closed the door. I walked with brad to our bedroom where I got into some pyjama shorts and a t shirt, I jumped into bed with brad and cuddled into him.
"Did the boys get home safely?" I said.
"Yeah but Lindsey I need to talk to you about something" he said with a serious tone.
"What?" I said with concern in my voice.
"We have to move in two days or I could lose you and the boys" he said giving me a hug.
"Okay where to" I say with no hesitation.
"Don't worry I know where we need to go" he said with his adorable smirk filling me up with confidence, I trusted him and I knew he was going to keep us all safe.
