Ok, I've decided to finally write Edward's Route into a Fanfic...

I've changed the MC, yet again.

Her name is Adeline this time and lives in Charles with her Grandmother. You'll learn her backstory throughout this fanfic.

Anywho, I hope that you will enjoy reading this fanfic as much I will enjoy writing it.

Let's get on with the story, now shall we?

Chapter 1

It was like any other morning, where I went down to the flower shop to buy a small bouquet of flowers for my Grandmother's Boutique. Before I opened it up for the day.

This was a ritual of some sort, a ritual I had continued to do after I needed to open the Boutique without my Grandmother.

She had been getting worse with her illness that we both decided it was best that I took over the Boutique for her.

"How is your grandmother today, Adeline?" The flower shop owner asked as she rung me up for my flowers.

"She's better today," I said with pursed lips.

"I hope she'll get better soon," She said gently after she gave me my receipt.

"Me too."

In the shopping district everyone thought my Grandmother was just sick, but she wasn't just sick. She had Alzheimer's, but I kept that a secret. I didn't want anyone to know.

With my flowers in hand, I exited the flower shop.

Hadn't realizing anyone would enter at this time of hour-- I ran into a tall figure.

The flowers I had bought crushed and on the side walk beside me.

"I'm sorry I didn't see you there," I quickly apologized as I knelt down to grab the ruined flowers.

However, the person I had bumped into beat me to it.

"No, it was my fault," The person I had bumped into was a man, who I hadn't even looked in the eyes yet.

To my utter surprise, the person that I had bumped into was the Crown Prince of Charles.

He was in his Royal Garments and was most likely on his way to Nobel Michel's Castle for some Ball.

Prince Edward looked down at my crushed flowers that were still in his hand.

"I should buy you a new bouquet of flowers," He said as he walked passed me and into the flower shop.

"You don't have to do that," I followed him back in. "Those flowers were just for my Boutique."

He turned around and raised an eyebrow.

"You own a Boutique?" He studied my face, wondering how old I was.

"It's my grandmother's Boutique," I said. "I've just been helping out." Yeah, for like my whole entire life.

He nodded, "Your Grandmother must be lucky to have a young granddaughter such as yourself."

"Yeah, well, I'm her only granddaughter s-s-so--" I stopped talking when I had began to stutter.

I let Prince Edward replace the flowers that I had just bought. And it seemed that he had bought a little extra for the replacement flowers.

"You didn't have to buy so many," I said when we exited the flower shop together. "I buy flowers every morning," I explained. "My grandmother had always bought fresh flowers for her shop. So I continued the so-called tradition."

He laughed. "I bought the other half for you. A beautiful bouquet for a beautiful young woman."

I blushed.

"Oh, well, thank you," Was all I could say as he gave me the two bouquet of flowers.

Just before we were going to part ways, he stopped me.

"I was wondering," He began. "Would you like to come to Nobel Michel with me? To attend the Ball?"

"Uh--" I stammered. "I would love to, but I have to open up my grandmother's Boutique."

"Well then," Prince Edward gently took my hand in his gloved hand, "I hope that we will see each other again very soon."

After he had said that, he brought my hand to his lips and gently kissed my hand.

I was rendered speechless.

What just happened? I thought as I watched Prince Edward leave in a limousine with the Royal Family's  emblem on the side.
