Prince Edward's POV:

Adeline and I were mingling with the other Crown Princes, and Alexsandrina, when I felt her grip on my arm.

She was wincing in pain as she put the back of her left hand to her forehead, wine glass still in hand.

"Adeline, are you okay?" I asked.

When she opened her eyes, it looked like she was trying to compose herself and then she lost grip of her wine glass.

Out of instinct, I grabbed the wine glass before it could spill or break.

Louis was next to me then, so I gave him the wine glass and then Adeline's grip on my arm loosened.

She fainted.

"Adeline!" I quickly took hold of her before she could fall to the marble floor, and possibly hit her head again.

"Call an ambulance," I ordered Louis as I gently eased Adeline to the floor, her head in the crook of my arm.

Panic erupted in the Ballroom of Liberty Manse when the other guests saw Adeline faint.

"Get the other guests out of here," Prince Keith ordered Luke when a few of the other guests were beginning to surround us.

Once Luke, and the other butlers, led the other guests out of the Ballroom. Paramedics came in with a stretcher.

I followed the paramedics closely behind when they had Adeline on the stretcher, answering their questions on what had happened.

"Can I accompany her in the ambulance?" I asked the paramedics as they put her in the ambulance. "I just don't want her to be alone," I quickly added before they could protest.

"Of course, Your Highness," One paramedic said.

I turned to Louis, "Call Zain and let him know what's happened." And with that, I jumped into the ambulance.

Alexsandrina's POV:

I watched as Prince Edward jumped into the ambulance, to stay by Adeline's side.

Of course, I was just as concerned as the next person, but I couldn't help but feel irritated.

For years, I've always tried to get Prince Edward's attention and when I got it— someone else grabbed it.

Jealousy boiled in my veins.

I knew I shouldn't be feeling jealous, especially after what's happened, but ever since Adeline appeared she was all Prince Edward could talk about.

Even the other Crown Princes.

She didn't look any special to me, I thought as everyone from the party began to leave Liberty Manse.

The party was over.

Adeline's POV:

Groggily, I woke up in the same hospital wing at the Royal Hospital.

Zain was sitting in a chair next to me, reading a book. Like that day.

I was about to sit up when Zain noticed that I was awake.

"Take it easy," He said as he positioned my hospital bed into a sitting position with a button on the side of my hospital bed.
