Chapter 10

Perrie had been back in London for about two weeks now while Jade had been putting on one hell of a performance in every game she played. The fans were more than impressed with her and Jade herself loved the developement at her new club.

But there was nothing she was more excited for than to see her loved wife again since she's returning to London for her call up for the England squad. On the other hand she was extremely worried about seeing her wife again since she had given her the cold treatment during their conversations and she didn't quite understand why exactly.

Another thing she didn't get was how her wife managed to break the internet. This happened while she took the train to the airport in order to go to London, wearing a business attire. Someone recognised her, took a picture and posted it online. The reaction this time around was this massive that Jade had a hard time understanding why the people online were freaking out this much since her wife had been spotted like this a few times already.

Jade tried to analyse it. Was it because of the outfit in which she could be working at a bank right afterwards? No, she had worn similar things lots of times before. Was it because the blonde looked so cute while sleeping? She wasn't sure but that didn't seem to be the main concern here. Was it because she used public transport like so many other people? She had done that plenty of times beforehand as well.

So the footballer wasn't quite sure what the source of the masses of interest was. It took her a few more days to realise that everyone seemed to be obsessed with her wife wearing glasses. Jade wasn't all too surprised since she found the singer cute and hot at the same time whenever she wore them. But seeing them react this drastically did still surprise her slightly. She still smiled to herself at the thought of her being the only one to see the blonde like this whenever she pleased.

Tweets like "Perrie Edwards in glasses. A look" or "Right when I thought that Perrie Edwards couldn't get any hotter this happens" followed and were right next to tweets like "Jade Thirlwall you lucky fucker" or "Shame she's off the market" or "Remember when Perrie Edwards invented wearing glasses?" or "I'll find you. I'll take you out to dinner. I'll fuck you 'till the sun goes down"

This made Jade feel kind of jealous and her protective side to show up. For some reason she was worried about some of these creeps really doing any of those things to her wife there were quite a few psychopaths out there and she was worried.

But only a few days later her worry was replaced by another fear. There were rumours circulating that Jade was cheating on Perrie with a team mate. Especially her friendship with Francesca and Valerie was seen as critical since she has been spending more and more time with them. Those rumours were obviously not true but the media loves to speculate.

Adding up to this on going speculation was that Jade went clubbing with her fellow team mates and she left the club early with Valerie. What the media didn't know was that Jade brought her home since Valerie was way too drunk to stay.

What made Jade worry was that Perrie started to act cold and distant towards her during their conversations so the brunette feared that the blonde actually believed the rumours. 

Perrie knew that she didn't need to worry about Francesca since she knew that she had been some sort of mentor for Jade ever since she arrived in Turin. The captain had helped her on every step of the way may it be learning Italian, getting to know the culture or getting used to the playing style. The singer knew that they were really good friends and nothing more. Also Francesca had to be the biggest Jerrie shipper in Italy.

With Valerie however, Perrie had a weird gut feeling. She looked exactly like those girls Jade used to hook up with during high school. And them spending more and more time together did not make her happy at all.
