When I feel deserted
The ones I love have left
Consumed, disconcerted
Emotion so bereft
Struggle with perspective
An awkward meltdown looms
Must be introspective
Cope with spirit of doom
The future may seem dark
The light is far away
Struggle to find a spark
And lighten up my day
I work to stay on track
And find a way to cope
I know I have the knack
To sprinkle on some hope
An option uncovered
A choice that can be made
Helps me to recover
Dismay begins to fade
