Went to do my laundry
And found a small surprise
Gracing walls and windows
A treat for tired eyes
Above the dryer doors
A tinsel garland wound
Gold and silver reindeer
Across front window bounds
Walls sprinkled with snowflakes
Above each door a sigh
Sending season's greetings
As twinkling letters shine
On the service window
Red stockings trimmed in white
A wreath with berry sprays
Blinks with small bright lights
Near the large front window
Some cheer for frazzled wits
Draped layers of red cloth
A tiny table sits
On the left is Santa
Plaid hat upon his head
A snowman on the right
Is sitting on green sled
Between them is a tree
A silver star on top
Ornaments bright sparkles
I grin as colors pop
As I do my laundry
Embraced with season's cheer
Find that I am smiling
Although no one is near
