Ellie's POV
Beep beep beep
"Ugghhhhh" I groaned "Why does this stupid alarm always go off halfway through my dreams!?"
"Charlotte get your ass downstairs, it's your first day of school!" My dad shouted at me from the kitchen.
Shit, dads up, I need to get Levi ready!
I ran to the 7 year olds room and shook him awake "Levi get up!" No answer "Levi it's time for school" I got a groan from that one. "LEVI DAD IS UP!" I whisper shouted only loud enough for us to here.
"What!" He said with a groggy voice but eyes wide open.
"Dads up bro, go get ready quick!" I ordered him and he went without question.
I ran back to my room putting on a pair of blue jeans and off the shoulder blue and white stripey shirt deciding to pair it with a pair of superstars and left my hair a down curly. I put on my concealer, mascara and lipstick before bolting down the stairs to have breakfast.
"Your going to be late idiot!" My dad said with his usual alcoholic breath. Great, he's been drinking again.
"I won't I just need to drop Levi off to school then I'll get to mine all in 10 minutes" I rushed out and was about to get some cereal when he grabbed my arm back.
"Tell your stupid ass brother to get down stairs before I drag him down myself" I winced at the thought and the pain in my arm was getting really sore. "And don't answer back to me again you bitch!" He smacked my back and pushed me in direction of the stairs so I could go get Levi.
"Levi, come on baby we have to go" I shouted for him and he ran out of the bathroom noticing the tears in my eyes.
That was the thing with me and Levi. We always knew when my dad had hurt the other because he was drunk it just pissed off. I always call Levi baby cause since my mum died a few years ago, I've been more of a mother figure to him. Don't get me wrong though, I'd never wish a child onto myself while I'm only 17, I'd only accept it if it was with someone I loved. But anyway, me and my brother sort of had this thing where we always look into each other's eyes first because they would show everything. Another thing we gained from our mother, she couldn't hide any emotion even if she tried. But it's a good thing we have a strong connection and rely on each other to feel better, I guess you kind of have to when you have a dad that abuses you.
"What did he do El?" Levi had a scared but confident look in his eyes that made him look cute and serious at the same time.
"Nothing Levi, come here" I ushered him over and wrapped my arms around him tightly.
"I told you to stop calling me that" he complained even while knowing that I wouldn't listen.
"You know I won't stop" he grunted in my ear "neither" he said quietly.
"Come downstairs now" I said grabbing his school bag. He was wearing black skinny jeans and a blue and black checked shirt with the black timberlands I got him for his birthday.
"I've got you a cereal bar, eat in the car ok" I motioned him towards the door.
"Co-" he started, but the door swung open and there stood my dad with a bottle of bourbon in his hand.
"Trying to escape are we?" He said in a dangerous tone of voice.
"N-no" I mumbled thinking about Levi and what my dad would do to him.
"We were just going to school daddy" Levi said with his innocent voice. I wrapped my arms around his small waist as I crouched down.
"You were late coming down the stairs this morning young man!" My dad shouted at Levi as if he just swore at him.
