After that night, countless others followed. It was the best week of my life, I was hating how each day I was getting closer to my hometown upstate, where I would stay without my best friend and lover.
"I really don't want to go." I sighed, letting my head lean against his chest while we were watching TV. "I wish I could stay in this dream forever."
"Me too." he said sadly. "Can't you stay?"
"My mother can't stay alone, she needs someone to be with. My sister will come home in a few weeks, and she'll decide whether or not she'll stay. College has been bothering her."
"You mean... This all depends on your sister? On whether or not she leaves college?" Ethan asked.
I nodded and took a sip from the cup of iced tea. It was a Friday night, and since we weren't doing anything special, Ethan invited me over to have lunch with him and Gray. Gray probably knew what was going on between us, but decided not to say anything just in case.
"I don't think she'll drop out," I admitted. "She's just stressed out, there's no way she'll leave her dream college."
I guessed he already knew what I was gonna say. Ethan sighed sadly and kept watching TV. Grayson appeared out of nowhere and stared at me with a grin.
He knew... I mean, why wouldn't you tell your twin who you had sex with? I figured that if I had a more social twin she would tell me about her boyfriends and such.
"So... You're leaving in a week, right?" Gray asked, setting down a plate of whatever he called food.
Sadly, it was true. I had to leave in a week, and then my sister would visit and tell us whether or not she was dropping out. I really wanted her to study, but at the same time, I wanted to stay with Ethan. I couldn't have both...
"Yeah..." I groaned. "I really like Los Angeles. It's such a cool place, I wish I could stay forever."
"I don't." Ethan suddenly said.
That shocked me, because Ethan seemed happy here. He had his warehouse, his brother seemed happy too, and the people in LA were extremely nice to me. It was the perfect place to make friends, to party o simply to go shopping. What was there not to like?
"Why not?" I asked. "It's amazing, it's full of fun and it's just... not as cool as my hometown"
"You haven't seen the real L.A, people can be shitty."
"Every city has shitty people, but L.A seems really cool." I said. "Except the whole stabbing and stealing and...shit you're right."
I was having so much fun in Ethan's house and with some of his friends that I forgot the bad stuff even happened. The harassment in the skating park, the stabbing... Yeah, it had some bad stuff... But don't all cities do?
"I've seen weird shit these past years." he said. "Guys jerking off, men chasing me, wallets and phones being stolen. People only come here to party, not to live. It's a pretty bad place."
I laid my head back onto his chest and then took a deep breath, closing my eyes. I was tired, I had spent all night using my computer and looking for colleges near my hometown. I really wanted to find a good college near LA so Ethan could visit more often, since he couldn't always hop on a plane.
I was falling asleep until I heard Grayson soft voice.
"Is she asleep?" Grayson asked.
"Yeah."
"Ok good..." he began. "So... In the warehouse... we could start a party for her, and then... you could finally... you know."
