8.- Do You Love Me?

Lauren was the first person to give me a hug, she was extremely bubbly and in general social.

I was eating a slice of pizza when she presented herself. She was one of Gray's best friends. May I mention she was the opposite of me, she wasn't afraid of talking to people. I was again extremely shy, so I usually stayed in the corner.

But she pulled me over and introduced a lot of people while Ethan was doing his stuff. Music started playing, some of them were my favorite songs and others were for partying.

After presenting me to a lot of people, Lauren eventually took a plate with a burrito and sat down next to me.

"Okay party girl..." she took a bite. "What's up?"

"I don't want to leave L.A" I admitted. "I like it here, more like I love being with Ethan."

"Ethan doesn't want you to leave," she said. "I've never seen him this happy since he met Mered..."

She took a bite out of the burrito again, not finishing her sentence. My heart started racing, because I heard that name in a conversation before. Although I didn't care much, I didn't think she could be important. But, from what I heard, she had been as important as me in Ethan's life.

I was jealous. I pressed my lips together into a line and dug my nails into my arm.

"Who's Meredith?" I asked.

Lauren was quiet, she took another bite. But I kept insisting that she told me, I was about to cry. I didn't want to be a jealous girlfriend, but I needed to know who she was.

Lauren sighed. "Fine, but don't tell Ethan I told you. Just say you found out on the internet." she warned me. "Meredith was my best friend about two years ago. She met Ethan thanks to me, and they both fell in love. Well... At first we were all okay with this until we started realizing some shit. She made Ethan stay away from Grayson, and then she stayed away from me.

Thankfully Ethan found out what she was doing, and told her to stop. She didn't, and to make matters worse she cheated on him several times."

I felt my heart pump and my breathing quickly accelerate. Grayson told me that he had girls push him away when Ethan dated girls, but I didn't know Ethan had gone through a lot when he was dating girls.

"B-But don't worry! Ethan's already past that." she said. "Just... Please don't break his heart. Please don't try to push Grayson away..."

"Don't worry, I won't let that happen."

About an hour later Ethan stopped by to ask me if he liked the party, I smiled and told him to play some music, to which he agreed and told Gray to 'hit it up'.

My favorite dancing song started playing, so naturally people started dancing and yelling. Gray climbed a tree next to Ethan, and everyone could be heard laughing and dancing. Except me, I could only laugh because dancing wasn't my thing.

Ethan jumped off the tree and ran into me, grabbing me by my waist and picking me up. I laughed and begged him to set me down, when he did he grabbed my hand and started dancing.

"Ethan, what are you doing???" I asked as he spun me around.

"Dance with you..." he grabbed my waist and kissed my forehead. "You must have some sort of dance move."

"Sitting down is one of them." I joked.

At that moment, I saw a black van pull up on the street. Ethan gave me one last kiss before telling me he had to go inside the warehouse for more snacks. I nodded, and walked off next to Lauren.
