Joanna had awoken Lyanna early that morning and quickly dressed the half-asleep Lady in an elegant Northern gray dress. It had been an active morning between breaking fast with her brothers and fighting their way through the crowds to the arena. It was a huge area with stands for every house in the seven kingdoms in the shape of a rectangle so everyone could see the activities. Thousands of people filled the stands and yet there still seemed to be thousands more running around the tents for the competitors.

The Stark family had arrived early enough to watch the king be seated and had time to laugh and joke before everyone arrived. Every house seemed to be in their finest clothes, her brothers in Gray handsome outfits and herself in her gray dress with silver Direwolves embordered on her shoulders. It seemed all the families were wearing their colors today, but no one shone more than the Targaryen's themselves.

King Aerys II donned a black cape made out of silk which looked plain enough until he started walking, you could see dragons were embordered in a slightly darker black. Under his cape, a black robe made out of velvet with red lines going up and down in the oddest fashion with a gold belt that had dragons intertwined around his middle. Lyanna couldn't help but notice how sickly the king looked and felt disappointment for in her mind a Targaryen was to be beautiful almost mystical.

"Not what you thought Lyanna?" her gaze turned to her brother Eddard who sat next to her with a sad smile. For a moment she remained silent as to find a way to voice her thoughts before replying "I fear brother nothing has ever turned out how I thought them to be." The statement seemed to sadden her brother more for he knew that she spoke of her future husband Robert, but he did not comment further on it.

When Jaime Lannister stepped onto the field and knelt before the King everyone seemed to grow quiet, and the buzz of excitement was intoxicating. The King was going to knight the young Lannister, but Lyanna's eyes weren't on the ceremony at all. Her eyes could not leave the young man who stood next to his father, Prince Rhaegar Targaryen.

"What a King he shall be" she spoke quietly so no one heard but she felt at that moment that the man's Lilac eyes were suddenly on her and the Stark family. Even though she knew he wasn't looking at her, in particular, she still felt as though his eyes glaring into her very soul. The feeling made her shiver, and she looked for something else to occupy her mind.

His beautiful silver hair moving as the breeze swept it up caught her attention. Next, her eyes took in his black armor shining in the sunlight and the rubies forming a dragon on his chest almost too blinding to look at. She was sure now that in her mind this was what a king should be.

Claps erupted drawing her attention from the Prince to the scene before them, the young boy had been knighted and had a grin so big she swore it hurt his face. Her hands automatically started to clap as well "He's too young." Eddard's eyes never left the Lannister as the boy walked out of the Arena "Ned, I feel as though you distrust him solely on the fact that he's a lion." Her brother finally looked at her with a softer expression "Lyanna, you should never trust a Lion" her smile faltered as she glanced back towards the King.
