Regrets - chapter 17 (JUST A FRIEND)

I woke up to the sound of my alarm. I don't remember falling asleep, I must have been tired. I grab my phone from the side table and check through my messages. One from Harry.

'be ready in an hour, will be picking you up for school today :*'

He sent that half an hour ago. Shit. I jump out of bed and decide to skip a shower today, might as well have one after I come back from school. I put on a white dress and a bit of make up. I start on fixing my hair until my phone goes off.

'I'm outside, come quickly'

I pull on my trainers and run down.

'BYYYYEEEE MUUUM' I scream and walk out. Harry is leaning against his car and when he looks at me his eyes widen. His eyes rake my body up and down, I suddenly feel uncomfortble with his reaction. Does this dress look bad?

'Umm...hey' I try to get the attention off of me.

'Yh..he..hey' he stammers. Harry stammering? This is new. I laugh and his cheeks flush a crimson colour.

'Why are you laughing?' he asks me.

'You're stammering and bright pink I think I'm allowed to laugh' I tell him.

'No I am not' he looks away.

'Yes you are!' I giggle and stick my tongue at him. He grabs my wrist and pulls me into the car.

'Lets go, otherewise we will be late' he states, trying his best to get me stop laughing.

We sit in the car and it stay silent for five minutes.

'You look really hot today' Harry tells me.

'Thanks' I grin and move forward to kiss him on the cheek. The kiss caught him off caught and my lips barely skimmed his cheek.

'I'm sorry, I didn't know you were going to do that' he apologises.

'I'ts fine' I smirk, and to my surprise he stops the car on the side of the road.

'Harry what are you...' He stops me by kissing me. He pulls back too soon.

'I owed you one didn't I?' he tells me giving me the biggest smirk I've seen. I laugh and he starts to drive on the road again.

When we reach the school he drops me off outside the gates and goes in to park his car.

'I will see you at lunch, okay?' he practically demands.

'Okay' I reply.

I walk to my first lesson and take a seat next to Okiki, who doesn't notice me pull a chair next to her.

'Hey Okiki' I start the conversation.

'Hey Megan, how you doing?' she asks with a lovely smile on her face. I've only talked to her a few times but she is really nice and sweet.

'I'm good what about you?' I ask but before she could answer the teacher walks in and starts talking.

'Good morning students today we will be discussing the history of Henry the eighth...' this is going to be a long lesson

The bell goes and the lesson finally ends. I walk towards my locker but stop at the scene that was taking place in front of me. It's Chloe, Liam and Harry. I move forward to listen more clearly.

'what is with up with you and Megan?' Liam ask's Harry.

'Nothing, she's just a friend' he states. Friend? My heart tugs at his words and I can't stop the tears escaping my eyes.

'But Luke said you took her out to dinner last night?' Chloe whines. God I hate her.

'Yh because she wanted to hang out and I didn't want to say no' he tells her. I push past the crowd that has now started to gather around them, I need to get to the front. The tears forming around my eyes start to fall and I don't stop them.

'Yh but...' Harry stops her from talking.

'You don't get to know everything about me, and anyway she is just a friend nothing else, stop jumping to conclusions' he tells them off.

He turns around and catches my eye. He looks sad for a moment and walks towards me.

'I...I didn't...' I stop him by walking off and this time I don't let the tears stop falling.

Why did I fall into his trap? I knew this was going to happen but I chose to listen to him and trust him. I can't see where I'm going but I don't care, I need to get out of here. I suddenly collide into someone.

'Sorry' I say throught sobs.

'I'ts fine' he says. His voice is recognisable. It's Luke. Oh no.
