Chapter 30

     It had only been a few days and (y/n) had already took it upon herself to try and start walking around normally with her hurt leg. Well, if hopping around on one foot most of the time counted as 'walking.' It was more than clear that (y/n) wasn't in any shape to even try moving, but she couldn't stand sitting around any longer.
     Kuro had watched after the girl the whole time, even going as far as sleeping on the couch with her as a cat just in case something came up. He tried doing whatever he could for her but she always dismissed him. He somewhat hated how stubborn she was being, specifically because he had to watch her insist she was fine and limp around the house just hoping that she wouldn't do something stupid and hurt herself again.

     (Y/n) 'walked' out of her room feeling refreshed after taking a long bath. She had been taking only showers for so long that she forgot how good baths felt, it was amazing how healing it was and it honestly got a lot of stress out of her body.
     She plopped herself down on the couch next to Kuro and laid against him with a huge sigh. "Ahh... that felt so good..."
     "Did it..? That's good.." Kuro mumbled, paying attention to the tv and her at the same time. Even so, he could feel that she was relaxed and he was glad, partially because she had been a little hyper earlier but now he didn't have to watch after her as much.
     "Yeah.." she sighed. She had time to herself for once and managed to relieve herself of everything, even having some time to reflect on the past few events that have happened.
     "Hey, Kuro..?" She said.
     "Hm.?"
     "I know I say this a lot, and I don't want to sound annoying or anything..." the girl started. "but.. I'm really sorry about everything.."
     He looked down to her for a moment. "What?"
     She shrugged not trying be dramatic about the subject, "well I mean.. I kinda had a mental breakdown.. and.." the girl's eyes fell down to her arms momentarily, ".. bad things happened... and then I was being super needy and it was honestly kinda pathetic.." she admitted. "So, I just wanted to apologize again because I know it was probably hard on you.. you shouldn't have to put up with stuff like that.."
     "...are you sad right now?" He asked, moving away from her to read her face. She was being really empathetic and he had only really seen this when she was upset.
     "No." She said matter-of-factly. "I was just thinking about it earlier and I thought it was unfair to you."
     The vampire thought for a moment before returning to his place next to her. He pulled his arm around her to rub her shoulder, "Its okay..." he said. "...It's wasn't something you have control over..."
     "-but I was acting so helpless.. I don't want to be pathetic like that." She responded.
     "You're not pathetic, (y/n)..." he argued. "... it's hard to deal with, especially by yourself... I know.. you needed to let some things out, and time to heal..."
     Kuro felt the girl sink slightly as she silently admitted defeat. He held her tighter for a moment looking down to see her worn expression. Even though she brought up the conversation solely to apologize, he could tell that her emotions were secretly getting to her.
     "...you should sleep for a bit.... you'll heal faster.." he said. Although it's wasn't that big of a deal to her he still used the excuse to distract from any negative thoughts, as well as to try and convince her to get some well needed rest.
   "Ugh, I'm not tired~" she jokingly whined. "Since when did you become the responsible one??"
     He shrugged and began to get up.
     "Noo..~" (y/n) dragged out in a whisper as her head rest began to leave her. "Where are you going??" She said.
     "I think it's my turn to relax in the bath..." He said in a yawn. ".. this gives you time to rest anyways.."
     The girl falsely pouted for a second before sitting up to let Kuro leave. "I don't need rest, I'm fine" she argued.
     "Mhmm.." Kuro hummed sarcastically before walking towards the bedroom door. "Then I guess I'll see you whenever I'm done.." he said and with that, left the girl to do her own things while he took his bath.
