The wedding date of my cousin was finally announced. It was scheduled for the 12th of July. My birthday date! Excitement ran through my veins as different wedding scenarios began to process from my mind: the wedding decorations, the wedding cake, the bride's dress, the bridemaids, the groom, costume, guests, cakes... there's so much to do in just one month!

But all that was just details. What really mattered was the couples. I was happy for them. After going through so many struggles in life, they deserved to be together. It was true. You can't really change fate. They were destined to belong to each other and no one could ever change that.

I took my phone from the beside table and  texted Mia, my to be sister in law.

"Congratulations Miana!!! I'm so happy for you both. Finally the wedding date is fixed. Your one month count down starts now!"

I then texted my cousin, Alex. He was like my elder brother, Brad but he was three years elder than him. He was very protective of me. I recalled the day when he and Brad made Rex run after that poor chap. I pitied him.  They released Rex after him because he dared flirt with me.

"Heyyy Alex!! Congrats bro! Wedding in one month!! Im becoming soo impatient!!"
I was about to send when i heard the roaring of a high powered engine outside. I peeped through the window only to see Alex. I opened the door and hugged him tightly.

"I was about to text you!" I said laughingly. "I already texted Miana. I can't wait!!! I'm soo happyyy!!!!" I circled my arms around his neck and was obviously trapped in excitement.

"Relaxx sis!! And stop calling her Miana okayy! Her name is Mia. Not Miana!" He said, his eyebrows curved in disagreement.

"Why? I  like calling her Miana. It's a mixture of her name with that of the everlasting legend, Lady Diana. Mi-ana" i said and saluted when i pronounced Lady Diana's name. I really admired her. She was a model amongst women. She beared so much at an early age. In a blink of occurences, she became the Princess of Wales and found herself victim of media.

"You are impossible!" He chuckled.

"Hi Alex! How are you? Congrats!" My mom said.

"Good morning Aunty. Thanks.  Im good how about you?"

"Oh im fine. Just a sored ear because of the loud mess your sister is causing."

He laughed and looked at me.

"I'm just in between you two guys!" I said sarcastically.

"Oh i know! Teasing you is the 3rd best thing i like to do in life." Humour filled his entire face and it did not took me long to give him a punch on his arms.

"Ouch!!!" I cried out." Of what is your arms made of bloody idiot!!" I said annoyingly.

Both my mom and Alex began laughing at me.

"Where's Stella" Alex said

"She has gone to the hostipal with gran-ma to visit that sick lady." I said.

"Come inside Alex. You want some tea?" Mom said.

"No aunty i'm fine. In fact i wanted to take Hazel with me to Port-Louis. My mom and dad are waiting for me at gran ma's place. We have to finalise the wedding cards and i wanted to take Hazel with me. But only if you allow me to.." he said.

My face instantly lit up. A very big smile drew up on my face.

"Of course you can take her. But you guys be careful. Port Louis is quite far from here."
