"Yo' Tris, we better get going" James called over from the van. I remember James, he's stopped over a few times. He's the sweetest guy I know. I looked over to see him squinting his eyes towards us,
"Oh hey Abe, didn't recognise you there, love! You changed your hair again?"
I giggled at him remembering me and remarking my change of hair colour.
"Just some hair dye, James. You should try it sometime, you're getting grey hairs" I joked, he immediately attempted to look at his fringe through the car windmirrors as he started to panic.
"I do not have grey hairs, you cheeky lil' bugger" he huffed with a smile,
"I'm surprised you don't, spending time with my bro' here" I gave a slight nod to my brother stood beside me.
"You're more of a pain in the ass, my friend" Tris laughed while telling me,
"Don't make me chuckle" I mimicked him laughing.
Another three honks came from the van driver, indicating for us to hurry up with saying goodbye.
I glanced up at Tris, who gave me puppy dog eyes, I'm literally going to miss him. Does he have to leave yet?
He held his arms out for once last hug, it brought a tear to my eye. It sucks that he's leaving, I really want him to stay. God damn it. As we squeezed each other into a bear hug I felt my tears start to soak his vest. Oops. I let go of him and turned to face my mother, who made her way over to us. I decided to give my mother and Tris some time alone for them to say goodbye while I said a goodbye to Brad.
"I'll see you later then, I suppose," I awkwardly smiled at him and nervously held out my hand for him to shake. What the hell am I doing? Abe, what are you doing you bloody idiot! I quickly pulled my hand away to stop making a fool out of myself. All of a sudden he grabbed hold of my hand and squeezed it, while giving me a cute grin with his tongue slightly showing through his teeth. Stop being adorable, like seriously.
I gave one last look to Tris, trying my best to not break down into tears in front of everyone. I felt the tears spill over the brim of my eyes. Too late.
"I'm really--gonna' miss you Tris" I managed to say attempting to choke back the rest of my tears.
"I didn't know you was going to be this upset Abe, c'mon. Gimme a bigger hug" he yanked my arm and me into another one of his loving hugs. This isn't helping Tris.
I saw the reflection of his face through my mothers car window. It looked like he was in deep thought. What could he possibly be thinking about? I stepped out of our hug and have him an inquisitive look.
"What's up?"
No response.
"Tris?"
Still no response.
He just stood there motionless, gazing at the maroon coloured block pavings on the driveway.
I tapped him on the head, making him pay attention to his surroundings.
"Oi, ignorant! I asked you a questioned and you liked zoned out dude. You alright?" I wondered.
"Yeah-urm, yeah I'm fine. I was just thinking"
"About?"
He paused.
"Abe?"
"Yeah?"
Ok, now he's making me worried.
"How would you like to come on tour with us?"
