Rivalry

Zeldris' POV:

I spent most of the night making a list of all the different things I could think off. The first prank I was going to do to get him back was put a ball dispenser outside his room so that when he opened the door they will fire too fast for him to react. This will be perfect.

I was waiting for him to leave when the door opened. The tennis balls fired so fast I could barley see them! There was at least two hundred! When it finally stopped I looked to see what happened.

"What?!" I yelled. Meliodas was standing there but there was no tennis balls.

"Did they even hit you?" I asked

"What?" Meliodas yawned. He was still half asleep.

"Oh. No they didn't"

"How!? Your still half asleep!"

"I told you yesterday"

"This is going to be impossible!"

"You'll figure something out"

He walked off leaving me. How am I going to do this?

"ZELDRIS!" Meliodas yelled. I knew my back up plan worked. I put a bucket of water on the hallway door knowing that he would be distracted by this prank to notice that one!

He came toward me dripping wet.

"Ha! Got you!" I cheered

"That was not fair!"

"Let the rivalry begin!" I exclaimed

"Oh it's on!"

Estarossa's POV:

Meliodas went back in his room to change so I went over to Zeldris. I saw what happened and Meliodas wasn't lying. His reflexes are really good.

"Zeldris, I don't mind you pranking eachother but don't do it when he's got a busy day"

"Don't worry Estarossa! I won't! I know with him being king he's gonna be busy but I won't interfere with that!"

"Good. Anyway you're gonna have to step up your game if you want to beat him. Those reflexes were amazing!"

"They were. He was half asleep aswell"

"Don't tell him, but I'll help you"

"Thanks!"

"Don't worry about it! Anyway go get ready. You know what day it is"

"I totally forgot! I'll go right now!" He exclaimed running off.

Today was the day of the fighting festival. Every year the demons hold a fighting festival and we are required to go. I told Meliodas and he got excited aswell. I know Meliodas loves a good fight.

When we got there we took our seats and the match started. Meliodas' smile was priceless.

I nudged him and he looked at me.

"Enjoying the fight or something?" I teased

"Yeah. The fights in the human realm were boring. Nobody was a challenge so to see a fight where they're going all out, is awesome!"

"Fair enough" I chuckled

Ban's POV:

The sins are all worried about Meliodas. We miss him here. Not just because he's our friend. He just left. Without any warning of where he went. It's not the same without him.

Everything seems dull and gloomy now that he's not here with us. Even the people at school seem to miss him even if he was the schools bad boy.

The face he made when we left the other day is still bugging me. He was clearly upset that we left but why. Does it have something to do with his disappearance? If it does, did he go willingly? Or did Estarossa and Zeldris force him to go?

No! My though are taking advantage of our situation. Zeldris and Estarossa wouldn't force him. And the fact that Meliodas is older than both of them.

Elizabeth told us about a conversation she heard between Zeldris and Meliodas. It was something to do with its almost his 17th and that's it's almost time. But time for what exactly?!

Sometimes it really bugs me that we don't know anything about him! We've made it our goal to find out all his secrets. Especially this one.

Zeldris' POV:

As soon as we got back a bunch of maids and butlers came and asked Meliodas if he had fun and if he was okay. He said yes but for them not to call him 'Your Highness'. Obviously they had their objections but they obliged eventually. Meliodas went to his room and I went to see him.

He was lying on the bed and looked really upset. I went in and sat next to him.

"What's the matter?"

"Nothing"

"I know it's something, just tell me"

"I'm just missing the sins I guess. I mean I left them without telling them anything and now I feel terrible about it"

"I do see what you mean but you said it yourself. If you told them they would ask questions your not ready to answer"

"I know that but they're my friends. They're probably trying to find out where I've gone"

"Meliodas that just means they care about you, if you wanted to you could go back and see them"

"I could but then I'd have to leave again. It's better this way. Then I don't have to put them through more pain"

"Meliodas, you know the other day when you got a call?" We looked towards the door and saw Estarossa standing there.

"Yeah what about it?"

"The person trying to contact you was Ban" Meliodas' eyes widened.

"It was?"

"Yes"

Meliodas stayed silent.

"They're looking for you"

"It wouldn't suprise me if they end up finding you" I added

"I hope so" Meliodas whispered. Estarossa left us alone again.

"You know Elizabeth?" I teased

"What about her?" Meliodas asked

"She's a goddess isn't she?"

"Yeah. So?"

"I'm sure she has the hots for you"

He shot up and blushed a bright red.

"WHAT!? Why would you say that?!"

"I saw the way she looked at you, she loves you"

"N-no she doesn't. T-this is just another prank" he mumbled

"I swear it's not. She likes you"

"W-why would she like me when she knows nothing about me?"

"Maybe she fell for your personality. Just because she doesn't know anything doesn't mean she can't like you"

He stayed silent

"Do you like her back?"

"N-no what would make you say that?" He mumbled avoiding eye contact.

"Your blushing like mad. You looooove her!"

He stayed silent but blushed more.

"That's why your so upset about leaving them! You miss her!"

"I miss the sins too" he defended

"Why can't you just admit it?"

"Zeldris, she's a goddess"

"And?!"

"I'm a demon. That's like day vs night. It wouldn't work"

"You never know Meliodas. If you like her and she likes you, it's clear something could happen"
