Midnight

Elizabeth's POV :

It's almost midnight and Diane is still protecting me. I'm stood next to her while she was talking to Melascula and Derieri who just arrived with the commandments.

I wasn't paying attention until someone grabbed my hand and pulled me away from the crowd. It was Meliodas. He had a smile and it looked like he knew what he was doing.

"Meliodas?"

"Looks like Diane didn't do a good job" he chuckled

"What are you gonna do?"

"That's my secret but don't worry I know you'll like it"

"Okay. I trust you"

We walked towards the back of the ball room and he checked that nobody was following us. He pushed part of the wall in and a secret door opened. He pulled me through it and it lead us onto a cliff. He let go of my hand and walked over to the edge.

"What's the matter?" He asked looking back at me

"N-Nothing I'm just confused on why you....."

"Why I brought you here, right?"

I nodded and walked over to him.

"Yeah"

"That's because I wanted to give you something"

"W-what is it?"

He put his hand in his pocket and pulled out a small box.

"Elizabeth at this point in time it's very clear that I love you" he started

"And that's why I want to give you this"

He opened the box and I gasped.

"I-Is that what I think?"

He nodded.

"They're promise rings"

"Meliodas"

"I want you Elizabeth and I don't care what anyone else says. I love you and I want to be your husband when we're older"

"A-are you being serious?"

He nodded

"I love you Elizabeth. And I want you to be mine"

"Of course I'll accept it!"

He smiled at me and took the rings from the box. He put mine on my ring finger and then put his on.

"I-I can't believe it!"

"Meliodas, I love you so much!" I exclaimed

He chuckled and moved closer to me. He leaned in and then kissed me. I didn't hesitate to kiss back.

It had just hit midnight and fireworks started to go off making this moment even more magical. I can't believe it!

Ban's POV:

We saw Meliodas pull Elizabeth away from Diane so once we found Zeldris we followed them to watch what was going to happen.

Zeldris opened the secret door and we all had to keep back an awe. They were kissing and it was adorable.

"He got Elizabeth! Let me go beat him up!" Diane exclaimed

"Shhh!" King shushed

"Ban I think I found the promise rings" Zeldris smirked pointing at them

"He took them!" I yelled

"Shhh! Wait promise rings?" King asked

"Estarossa wanted Meliodas to give Elizabeth a promise ring but refused and then I couldn't find the rings. Turns out that he took them and now they're promised" Zeldris explained quietly

"They need some privacy but I don't want to stop watching" Diane giggled

Meliodas and Elizabeth pulled away and smiled lovingly at eachother. Elizabeth looked at her promise ring and smiled even more. Her eyes teared up.

"What's wrong?" Meliodas asked

"Nothings wrong I'm just extremely happy! I mean you did just promise to be my husband when we're older" Elizabeth giggled making Meliodas blush.

"Yeah. I did"

Meliodas just smiled at her but then his smile turned into a smirk.

"What?" She giggled

"I told Diane that I'd control myself but I don't think I can"

"W-what?"

Meliodas pulled her into another kiss and her eyes widened. She blushed, closed her eyes and kissed back. Diane was either trying not to scream with happiness or she was trying not to go over there and pull them apart.

"They're so cute" Zeldris mumbled

"They are but I don't think they'd appreciate it if we continued watching" King moaned

"Oh well. It's cute" I exclaimed

"Shhh!" They all shushed.

Meliodas and Elizabeth pulled away for the second time and Elizabeth giggled.

"What's so funny?" Meliodas teased

"I could do that all day" She giggled

"I wouldn't mind but I think we should be getting back"

"Yeah the sins are probably wondering where we are"
