~Mark~

I felt an unfamiliar warmth start spreading through me like wildfire. It started from my fingertips and rushed through my bloodstream. Up my arms it went, then it went for my heart. I felt it start to pump faster and the warmth spread through my abdomen, making its way down to the tips of my toes. Finally I felt the warmth creep up the back of my neck and awaken something in my head.

I wasn't sure what was going on but the paleness of some objects changed around me and my lips started to open, as if I was trying to speak with my teeth pressed together. I started to see Sean in a whole new light and I wanted to pull him close.

"Sean, what is this?" Sean looked at me with his eyes half-open and responded slowly,

"Happiness." Sean's mouth looked just like mine though and I couldn't help but pull him towards me. He started gently squeezing me back and leaned on my shoulder.

~Sean~

We stayed in that position for a long while, until Mark started asking questions that I was happy to answer for him.

"Sean, what exactly am I doing?"

"You're giving me a hug, which shows that you care for someone." Mark was silent for a bit processing what I had just said.

"What exactly do you mean by care?" I sighed at this question. That is a hard one to explain.

"Well basically it means that you want to be around someone and you want to make sure that they don't get hurt." Mark nodded.

"What am I doing with my mouth?" ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) I sighed at how clueless Mark truly is.

"That's called a smile, normally you do it when you're happy."

"Ohh, does that mean I'm happy?" Mark asked, excitedly.

"I would like to think you are."

"And what's up with that book over there?" Mark pointed to an book with an orange front, "It changed."

"What do you mean exactly?" I asked suspiciously.

"I don't know," Mark practically whined, "the paleness of it changed." I gasped and practically jumped off of him. Instead I lifted up my head and stared directly into his eyes.

"You can see color!" Mark looked at me with a puzzled expression.

"What's color?"

"Well it's like what you see as pale and dark except they have their own names and shades. Some of them would be red, orange, yellow, green, blue, and purple."

"What color is that book that I pointed out to you?"

"It's orange, but now it's my turn to ask a question. Did anything else change paleness?" Mark shook his head.

"No, only that shade did." I frowned a bit at that, "What's wrong?" Mark asked.

"It seems you can only see the color orange right now," I answered quickly, smiling like and idiot.

"One day I want to see all the colors," Mark stated. I didn't say anything else. Right then I was focused too much on a single question he asked, what's wrong. Those two worlds had the weight of the universe in them because it showed that Mark cared.

I felt my eyes tear up and slip down my cheek. Mark only looked at me, unsure what to do. I didn't care though I was just so happy that the tears just kept pouring. I've been waiting to hear those words and know I finally have.
