Lokis POV
~~~~~~~~~
I woke up in another unfamiliar place. There was a small desk, and a bed. That was it. As I exited the small room, I found myself at the guard station, where I had confessed my past to Dante. That felt so good, telling someone. Yeah, I told Malachi, but someone who understood... that was different., Malachi, he was pushed off a roof. I lost everyone I love and was hunted down. I was forced to mature faster than I would like, but it saved my life. Wait... who's room was I in? Did I black out? The last thing I remember was Dante telling me... no. That must be a dream.
But when I looked on my arm, the imprint of the creatures hand was still there, and red.
So it was all real.
No. It dosent want me still. I can't. If he wants me, the world is in danger. But if he gets my power... no. Everyone would wither and die.
Just picturing the pile of corpses and burning cities makes my heart skip a beat.
Laurance came out of one of the rooms.
"Morning. I see Garroth was nice enough to let you sleep in his bed."
"That was Garroths bed?"
"Yeah. He likes you. Thinks you have 'potential' or something like that."
"He likes me... even after I tried to kill him?"
"That Garroth Romeave is weird."
"Clearly. Wait. If I slept in his bed-"
"Yep. He took the night shift."
"Now I feel even worse."
"Whaddya mean?"
"That Garroth stayed up all night, after working a full day, and let me sleep in his bed."
"Meh, I would do the same thing. I just didn't see you come back. Where were you, anyway?"
I shudder, just thinking about last night.
"I've had experiences in the Nether. Aaaaaaand they kind of came back last night. They tried to take me back, but Dante and Garroth stopped whatever that thing was."
"Wait really! How could you not tell me!? I'm a shadow knight, after all. I might know what type of creature it was. "
"It was like a ghost and an enderman had a baby."
"That thing? Did it have a jacked up voice?"
"Yeah."
"That's a Shadow Soul. They can cause black outs when they touch you." He says, examining my arm.
"Okay. I think I'm going to see Malachi. He wanted to see me about something."
"Alright."
I strolled outside, but before seeing Malachi, I decided to take a walk in the forest. It was soothing, and reminded me of my days as a normal child. Although, since my dad was Enki, maybe I was never normal. Maybe I was a danger, not knowing it at all.
Crack!
I turned towards the sound, knives drawn. I sensed a presense, a scared one, and a frightened one. The difference? Frightened is less scared then scared.
"You tell no one of this."
I saw Aphmau on the ground, and a strange man with a black hoodie and a red bandana. He had his sword out, and that was all I needed to see.
"Get away from her!" I screamed, jumping on the man, and than knocking his sword out of his hands.
"Ack!" He said, helplessly.
"Loki?" Aphmau said, fear striking her eyes
"Aphmau, run!"
"Loki! No! Get off him," She said.
I could tell the man was eyeing me, and I could tell he wasn't a threat at the moment. But he easily could be.
"What were you doing!" I shouted at the guy.
"I couldn't tell if she was a threat."
"THAT is the dumbest way to say hello!"
"But if she was a threat?"
I don't look at the man. "Aphmau are you okay?"
"I'm fine."
Looking back at the man, I looked deep into his eyes.
"W-what are you doing?" He asks.
"None. Of . Your. Buisness."
Aaron Lycan, former lord to Falconclaw, former father and husband. His family was killed by Zane. He's blood related to Shad the Destroyer. And he-
"That's enough! Outta my head!"
"I'm sorry. I didn't realize you were on our side."
"What are you talking about?"
"You, Aaron Lycan, want to kill Zane Romeave, the worst man on earth, in my opinion. Everyone in this village wants Zane dead. He put one of the children to sleep."
"He did what? That son of a-"
"Ooookaaaayy. I think we should get back to Pheonix Drop, Loki."
"Like the god?" Aaron said.
"My mom was norse."
"But wasn't he-"
"Bad?yes, my mom had a rebellious streak."
I'm starting to think of going by my middle name, Izzy, which is much easier tha Loki.
"Bye, Mister." Aphmau says.
"Tell no one you saw me."
"Fine. But you don't have Aphmaus word.
"Well, you do now. Bye."
When we trekked back to the village, Aphmau was staring at me.
"Did you know him? You knew his name, his past, his-"
"That's my past, Aphmau. I don't want to be rude, but I would appreciate if i kept that to myself."
I only knew him for one thing.
Celeste. His village hosted my sister.
