Note, Mah readers, this will be the longest chapter, and last, I might add, of The Keepers Daughter. The next book will be called 'Her New Battles' and will come out on some day before october of 2017. I know this was a bit short, but I really hoped you liked this, also, I got roasted by a teacher for daydreaming about this story in the middle of class. And as for Garroth seeing that thing that Lilian showed him of Aph and Laurance kissing , that didn't happen, they go to the Irene dimension for a different reason.
Enjoy!

Lokis pov

"Are you ready?" I said to Garroth.
"Yeah. I'm just... different. I feel... like something bad will happen."
"No dip! It's a war, Garroth. People are going to die."
"Yeah... but it's a different feeling." He looked towards the ground.
"Remember what you said when I was about to die in the Nether? That you cared? That you would protect me? I am trying to do those things for you. I care. So does Aphmau and Laurance and Dante and everyone in this village."
"Yes. I remember. But I want you to be safe. And I don't need other people to care about me."
"I know how that feels. I'm like that, were I don't want anybody to love me, because I know I'll get them killed. I had a corrupt family. I know what you're going through, if you ever want to talk." I said.
"Heh. Thanks." He said.
"Loki? Aren't you going on the ship?" Laurance asked.
"Nah. I can stay and fight. I'm stronger than half the Brightport guards."
"True. But are you sure?" He said
"Yep. Not leaving til it's over."
"A true friend wouldn't leave when everyone else needs her, and she has skills." I smirked.
"Yeah, my back STILL hurts from the river incident. There're claw marks all over."
He said, pulling off his shirt.
"Whoa, kay, I'm only twelve." I said, and Laurance pulled it back over his head.
He laughed. It was nice, to see people so happy, before a war they might die in.
"Are you scared?" I asked both of them.
They looked at eachother.
"...No..."
"No... not really..."
I don't know why. I lost fear years ago. Running and encountering so many people made me kind of lose the fear gene.
But for some reason, I was scared.
Like Garroth had said, I felt as if something bad was going to happen today.
To us.
"Well, we can all say the truth here. I'm scared, a Lil bit."
"Pssh, of what?" Laurance snorted.
"Of...everything. Of Zane, and of the Okhasis army, and the Lord of Okhasis-"
"He-hes not c-coming, i-is he?" Garroth said nervously.
"I dunno. Zane said he might." Laurance said.
Garroth immediately curled up in a ball and started rocking back and forth .(I had to!)
"Uhhhhhhhh, are you okay?" I asked.
"My dad. Is coming. To. Pheonix. Drop." He said, slowly rocking back and forth, still in a ball.
"I forget your a Romeave sometimes." Laurance said. "You... you are different."
"Mm hmm."
I gently patted his head.
Of course, Aphmau had to come out and see that.
"Garroth? Are you okayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy?" She asked, concern creeping in.
"He's shaken up because his dad is coming to Pheonix Drop."
He flopped over on his side, and my foot was under his legs.
"Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. Do you think he'll try to take you back?" She said.
He nodded, and sat up.
"Cmon, buddy. You think we'd let him?" Laurance said, pulling Garroth up.
"No. That's the thing. He'll kill you if you don't let him." Garroth whimpered.
I frowned, and continued patting his head. I had to go on tip toes to touch his cheek.
Damn, that guy was tall.
"Zane will come at any minute. You three got weapons?" Aphmau asked us.
We drew our weapons.
Garroths diamond sword we fished out of the river.
Laurance's long emrald sword.
My double machetes, a gift from Dale. They were his old ones.
"Good. See you on the field." She said, checking up on the others.
"Before, in case we get separated, whatever that means, death or kidnapped," I ran up and hugged both of them. I felt their bodies tense, but then ease down.
"Thank you for being so kind to me. For not treating me like trash, like others did."
We walked our separate ways, but before that ship left, I had two see two people.
I ran to the ship, as it was almost pulling away.
"Malachi! Levin!" I shouted. The two boys came out, holding hands.
"Before you two leave, I wanted to thank you. For being my friends."
"Hey, we'll always be your friends. Even if you're in the nether, or some other crazy place." Malachi smiled.
"Hi! Why you staying?" Levin said.
"Because, I need to help your mom with... work stuff."
"Oh. Have fun." Levin said.
I hugged both of them, because I knew it might be the last time I saw either of them.
No. You will live, even if it takes you 20 years.
Malachi and Levin left, and Levin turned and ran back at me.
"HERE!" He said, handing me a crumpled paper boy.
"IS ME!" Levin shouted.
"It's the best gift I've ever gotten. Thank you, Levin." I wrapped him in one last hug, and then he left.
I watched the ship leave the harbor, and carefully put the paper boy in my pocket.
"I'll see you again, Levin." I whispered.

Zane's POV
~~~~~~~~~~~~
Everybody was so slow today. Of course they knew we were coming. They always know. It's a bit sad.
When all the Okhasis people got on the ship, I was happy enough to depart from the bay.
"I'm coming for you, Pheonix Drop."
Loki's POV
~~~~~~~~~
"Alright! You, you're on first line of defense." Azura said, looking at me.
Hurrying to the wall, I  jumped next to someone familiar.
"Loki~Sama? You stayed?" Kawaii~ Chan asked.
"Yeah. You guys have been so nice to me. The least I can do is  help you  with this battle."
"Is Loki~Sama okay?"
"Mm hmm."
You say you can beat him, but you know you can't.
"Is something bugging Loki~Sama?"
"N-no, Kawaii Chan."
"Okay. Loki~Sama can come to Kawaii~Chan any time." Kawaii Chan said, and walked away to Azura.
"Someone cares."
"I know Someone is you." I mumbled.
"Huh?" The guy next to me said.
"Oh, it's nothing."
Then I could see them. The Okhasis army was much bigger than Garroth said.
Wait...who is that...
A man who looked a bit senile was next to Zane.
"GIVE ME NICOLE!" He shouted.
Nicole? What could he want with her?
Then the other people started breaking down the door.
"Attack!" Azura screeched.
I ran in, and Dale's machetes suddenly became super light.
I swiped and swung, and cut down three guards with one strike.
"Heh."
It went on like that, until another Scaleswind guard had double swords, and knocked me to the ground. He had his sword ready to come down on my head, and I was trapped under his foot.
Julian.
I swept his leg, and   slit his throat. Then, ran away to find the next victim.
Seeing Aphmau just charge into battle, slaying everyone was so... so intimidating.
Until I saw Dante pinned under like, the fattest cow of a guard ever.I ran to them, hoping I could get there in time.
Suddenly, my skeleton rippled.
I was stopped by Zane himself. "Hi." He smirked murderously.
"Let. Me. Go." I glared into his heartless eyes.
"I don't think so. I would enjoy to watch your friend die. If only it was Garroth." Zane laughed.
I screamed, pulling away, and tore towards Dante. He stood there, and watched.
I watched the sword get drawn.
Dante squirming.
The guards double chin moving up and down as he laughed.
Knowing I wouldn't make it.
Dante squirming more.
Until I was in between Dante and the fat guard.
"G-go."  I stuttered under his weight.
"Okay." I knew what he was planning. Dante was the best.
"Die, little girl!" The fat guy bellowed..
"Meh. Okay." I smirked, and watched Dante jump down on him, and then I left to kill someone else.
Laurance was insane! He was in Shadow Knight form, and killing guards left and right.
Then moving on to behind the wall, I was tackled.
There was your average guard, and he was yelling, but my ears were still ringing from the impact.
He raised his sword, but all my limbs were trapped.
The sword began its fall, and I flinched.
Again, like the nether, the impact never came.
Opening my eyes, I saw two redheads, and the dying guard.
The boy runs up to me, about 16, while the girl still stabs the guy.
"Loki! It is you! I thought you were dead! Quillen, you werent lying, were you?"
The girl turns, and reveals herself as Quillen. "No! It's Loki, she's like our baby sister!" Quill says.
So that means the boy...
"Rowland!" I said, embracing him in a hug.
"Why are you guys here?"
"Quill saw the Okhasis ships moving towards Pheonix Drop, and she grabbed me and explained how it was probably you. Looks like we made it just in time." Rowland says, looking at the dead guy and the cackling Quillen.
"Thanks, guys. Let's go see if everyone's okay." I said.
"Yeah. Introduce me to your new friends!"
We found Aaron first, who was in the middle of a kill.
Than Aphmau, who was locked in combat.
Than Dante, who laughed at his defeated kill.
Than Laurance, who was still a Shadow Knight. He turned towards us, and stared at Quillen.
"You." He growled.
"You." She growled back.
"Oh no. Loki, step back." Rowland said.
"What? Why is she mad at Laurance?"
"Because they must have had an interaction in the Nether."
"What?"
"Quill didn't tell you? She was kidnapped and turned into a Shadow Knight."
"WHAT?!" I shouted, Quillen turning into her Shadow Knight form.
"Guys, there's a war going on! You two can fight later!" Rowland urged.
"No! He showed me up! I almost died!" Quill screamed.
"Quill, please!"
She calmed down, but didn't turn back. She tore off, killing people in an angry frenzy.
"Welp, we've lost her." Rowland sighed.
"Should we-"
"It's Quillen."
"Yeah, you're right."
We went this time, and found Garroth pinned against a wall.
We were about to run in and help, but he kicked the other guy in... let's not go there.
"Hey. Who's that?" He sind after cutting the other guys back open.
My back tingled, thinking of the treehouse incident.
"This is Rowland. He's an old friend." I introduced them. "Rowland, this is Garroth. He's a friend."
They shook hands, and both looked at me.
"Where's Aphmau?" Garroth asked.
"Right there," I said pointed to Aphmau leaving the dead body.
"Cool. Where's Zane?" He asked .
''Zane? He's right there." Rowland pointed to a man retreating into the woods.
"I can't let him get away. You two stay here." He said, tearing off.
"Y'wanna go after him?" I said.
"I'm down."

Garroths POV
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
After leaving Loki and Rowland back there, I tore after the menace known as my brother.
"ZANE! GET BACK HERE!" I shouted.
"Who's annoying voice am i hearing now?" Zane said, still running.
Then he stopped.
"Huh?" I said. He would never stop, at least not intentionally.
I approached him slowly, and saw he had an amulet.
He whipped around, and kicked me into boulder.
There was a smashing sound, and I was pretty sure it was my head.
"Uhhhhhh." I groaned in pain.
Zane put the amulet on my forehead, and I was too injured to fight back.
"You serve ME now." He said.
Unwillingly, my body got up, although I told it to sit down.
"Yes, brother." I said. No! I didn't want to!
"Come. Let's go kill that Loki girl." He said. My body unwillingly followed him.
No. My head voice screamed over and over.
"Than maybe that obnoxious Aphmau."
No. No. No. No. No.
Seeing my reflection in a brook we passed, I saw my eyes were  no longer blue, now red.
"You listen to only me.
"No." I said. Finally! Maybe I was coming back to my senses.
"I'm sorry, what?" He stopped.
"I'm obey you." I said.
No! I lost it!
We emerged to the battle field.
"Get me the amulet from Laurance." He said.
"Yes."
No. I don't want to.
But I did.
And I walked to the now calmed Laurance, who was at Ungrths grave.
"Hey Gar- what's with your eyes?" He said worriedly.
Forgive me, Laurance.
I knocked him down with the flat of my blade.
For a few minutes, I managed to hold back.
"Laurance, Zane is controlling me." I said, my eyes flickering to blue again.
"G-Garroth?" He said.
I lost control again.
I ran to him, and knocked my best friend unconsious.
And than stole the amulet.
Inside, I was crying.
Outside, I was a traitor.
I took the amulet to Zane, who smiled at the sight.
"Great. Now go make sure Aphmau dosent follow us."
I reluctantly left, and I was practically screaming inside.
When I found her, she was beside the barely conscious Laurance.
"G-Garroth? Your eyes." She said.
"Zane is contr-controlling him." Laurance said weakly.
"G-Garroth? Is this true?" She asked.
I held him back again.
"Yes. Help." A blue flash in my eyes.
Then I lost it.
Aphmau showed sadness in her eyes, and they became shiny.
Against every thing I had, I snarled "Oh don't be so weak."
"What did he do?" She asked.
"I don't know, but I don't care."
"Garroth. What did Zane do?"
"Zane dosent control my actions."
"LIES!" I screamed again, gaining a bit control. "DON'T LISTEN TO HIM!"
"Hey, Garroth." I heard someone behind me.
I turned to see Loki, and then heard Zane.
"Kill her.'' He said blankly. I turned to see him smiling, or at least under the mask.
"Loki, run." I said, rapidly losing control.
"What?"
"No. Let's play a game." The possession said.
Emmalyn  and Aaron and Kenmur stood there, and watched.
I lost it.
No! No! No!
"What's wrong with your eyes?" She said anxiously.
"Nothing. Haven't they always been like this?"
"N-no. Garroth, are you okay?"
"Yes, Loki. I'm perfectly fine."
"No. You're not." She stepped back.
"Yes. I am. Come here, I'll show you." The possession grinned.
"I-im good." She was scared. She was scared of me.
It hurt.
"Ugh, this is going to take years. "Garroth, give me that amulet." Zane sighed.
Reluctantly, I threw it to him.
"Haha, thank you!" He laughed as he merged the amulets.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Loki's POV
~~~~~~~~~
We stood in front of a massive white palace
"Where are we?" I asked.
"Oh my irene!" Emmalyn shouted, running in circles.
"What." Aaron said.
"We. Are, in. Irene's.  Dimenzion.'' Emmalyn began sweating frantically.
"Where's Garroth and Zane?" Aphmau asked.
"I dunno. Let's go inside." Laurance said.
"Yeah." We ran inside.
"No. We need to leave." Emmalyn said.
"Why?" Laurance said.
"A minute here is a year in our world!" Emmalyn shouted.
"We need to find them." Aaron declared.
We ran in, and saw  corrupted Garroth and Zane.
"Hahahaha! Irene's relic is mine!" Zane shouted, holding it up.
It immediately went to Aphmau, and she obsorbed it.
"..No... you can't be her!" Zane shouted. (Literal quote.)
"I'll get that relic, even if I need to tear you open to get it!" Zane shouted, his voice becoming a bit garbled.
Zane then transformed, and was unhuman.
"Kill her." Zane commanded Garroth.
I knew it, I saw how much he wanted to stop.
But he didnt.
I ran up to him, and started banging on his chest.
"Please, stop!" I screamed.
He smacked my face, and I went  flying back until my head hit a pillar, and a oozing smash came.
It was my head.
"Zane! Let him go!" Laurance screamed.
"He's not under my control anymore. It's his actions." He said, and Garroths eyes changed back to blue.
"It's permanent." Kenmur stuttered.
"Now, finish her." Zane yelled.
My vision blacked out as I saw Garroth taking slow steps to me.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Garroths POV
~~~~~~~~~~~
It was like a stab in the chest, to hit Loki that hard. Or at all.
I watched as she grasped for consciousness, and Laurance screamed.
"Zane! Let him go!"
My eyes changed, I could feel it.
"Now, finish her." Zane commanded.
Laurance ran to stop me, but he didn't know how I wanted to stop. But the potion  was under full control.
"Garroth! Do you even see what your doing?! You're about to kill the girl that you obviously care about! The girl you rescued from the nether! The girl you told me to make sure was okay, and to guard with my life! The girl you talked to me about adopting!"
I was crying, and I knew I couldn't do anything.
"No. That girl should die. She needs it." I said.
"Are you even listening to yourself right now!? The Garroth I know would never hurt someone who didn't deserve it! The Garroth I know would help anyone that needed it! Not hurt anybody. Garroth... come back." Laurance said.
I pushed him to the side, and my heart slowly began to break.
I started slowly towards Loki. Until I was right in front of her.
"Go on, do it!" Zane yelled.
But standing over her, that injured, innocent, hurt girl. Watching the blood slowly seep out of her head, and tears on her face, made the amulet-potion-spell thingy go away.
I threw my sword away, and picked up her unconsious body.
"I'm. So . Sorry." I hugged Loki tight. And she still didn't wake up.
Tears sprung to my face, as I faced the horrifying thought that I had killed her.
"I don't want you to die. I'm so, so, so,  so, so, so, so, so, so sorry." I cried, and hugged her tighter.
"I deserve to die. You deserve to live." Putting her on my body, I heard her heart beat. Slowly, but surely.
Her eyes barely opened.
"Dont... I know you don't want...to..." She gasped, and I just held her.
"I will protect you. From everything that tries to hurt you. Even me." I held her, and she hugged me back.
Thinking back to earlier today
Thank you for being kind to me. For not treating me like trash like the others did.
"Don't... kill me."
"Never."
She fell back asleep, and I turned to Zane over Aphmau.
"We could have had something SPECIAL together!" Zane shouted.
I lay Loki down gently.
"I won't let you hurt her." I said, locking in combat with Zane.
A blood red portal popped up behind me, with a woman next to it.
Kenmur, Aaron, and Emmalyn went through the portal.
Laurance tugged on Aphmau to go.
"Garroth... I can't leave you!" She cried.
"I said go! Find a better man! Aphmau, I-i love you."
I turned my head as the portal closed.
And with the most horrified feeling in the world, I realized the worst thing possible.
They had forgot Loki.
