Aphmaus pov
~~~~~~~~~~~~
As a lord, you have to make sure your villagers are okay. That your village is healthy. Like you are a farmer, while everyone else is a crop, that you need to make sure lives until spring. Zane, in that field, would be the rotting weed that kills every crop on your farm.
"So, how long are you keeping me here?" He shouted over Laurance, who was talking to me about a memory of when Cadenza fell in a mud pit.
"Forever." Laurance hollered.
"Hmph." Zane slouched.
I can barely stand being in a room with that man. What he did to everyone. To Alexis. To Garroth. To Loki. To everyone he makes eye contact with.
"Laurance, do you think it's wise to keep the keys so wide out in the open?" I asked.
"What do you mean? Nobody likes him, and they're just out of his reach. He's not getting out."
"Well see." Zane mumbled.
"Shut it." Garroth shouted, who slammed the door behind him.
"Now why would I listen to you?" Zane said loudly.
"I. Said. Shut. It." Garroth growled.
"Dante wants to see you." Laurance murmered, not taking his eyes off Zane.
"Kay." He climbed upstairs, where Dante was.
"Aphmau~Senpai!Aphmau~Senpai!" Kawaii~Chan shouted.
"Yes, Kawaii~Chan?" I said, looking away from the ladder.
"Aphmau~Senpai! It's Loki~Sama and Malachi~Sama! Their missing!"(is that what she calls Malachi? Correct me if I'm wrong.)
"What do you mean?" My voice raising a little bit.
"Zoey~Chan came running and said that Malachi~Sama and Loki~Sama were missing. They were by the treehouse, and now their gone!"
"Take.Me.Now." I wheezed.
Oh irene, oh Irene I thought urgently the whole way there.
When we did get to the tree house, it's entryway had been boarded up.
There was a faint, girlish cry coming from the top of the treehouse.
"Malachi! Loki! I'm coming!" I shouted, trying to break down the door.
The girlish scream sounded again.
"Stop hurting him!" Malachi's voice was faint.
"If you've done anything to Loki-" I threatened.
"I'm fine. Our kidnapper..." Loki yelled.
The rest was unhearable.
I barged into the boards one last time, and they shattered.
"Kawaii~Chan. Stay here." I shouted sternly, just in case.
I ran up those stairs, because I knew lives depended on me.
When I got to the top, it was a bit horrific.
There was blood slowly dripping from a still body onto the floor. Loki and Malachi were on the wall, with  their hands tied behind their backs. Malachi had a red hand mark on his face, and Loki had a black eye.
As the body stood up, I saw who it was.
"You! How could you!?" I screamed.
"Heh. Simple really. I slapped the boy, and the girl got what she deserved." Zenix laughed.
"Now tell me, has that shit Garroth died yet?" Zenix asked.
"Why would you deserve to know?" I gritted my teeth.
"This is why." He picked out a knife, that I recognized as Loki's.
"Would be a shame if he died with his friend's weapon." Zenix smiled, putting it to Malachi's neck.
"No! No. He's alive. He's currently in Falconclaw, though." I said. I hope this works.
"Well, thank you. Though, I didn't need your LIES!" He shouted.
"Now, Aphmau, I have a different question. Is Zane Romeave currently in Pheonix Drop?"
I looked at Malachi, who's skin was about to break."Yes."
"Thank you, for your cooperation. But still, unfortunately I still have to kill you. Bye." He still smiled and turned to Malachi.
"Welp, I guess you're first." The knife was pressed into his neck, and he screamed.
"BITCH!" Loki shouted.
"Ooooh. Pretty girl dosent like it when her friends get hurt, does she?" Zenix teased.
Loki held Malachi's head, and wrapped a bit of her leggings around his neck to stop the bleeding.
She scooted upward, and  was eventually standing.
"Come at me!" She shouted.
"Gladly." Zenix said. He raced towards her, but she dodged, and he smacked into the wall, his sword cutting her bonds allthewhile.
"Ugh!" He shouted, the bloody nose clutched.
"Tch. Cutting loose your victims. You really aren't a good Shadow Knight, now are you?" Loki smiled as Zenix's face turned to anger.
"You wouldn't know!" He shouted.
"Actually, I was held in the Nether for a year and a half. And all this shouting? Man, you might attract SOMEONE!" Loki screamed the last part.
"Ooh, or maybe, a MEIFWA WOULD HEAR, AND RUN TO GET SOME GUARDS!" She shouted again.
The sound of footprints echoed in the distance.
"THANKS, KAWAII CHAN!" Loki shouted.
"I'LL KILL YOU BEFORE ANY GUARDS COME!" He growled.
I had run to Malachi, and his head slumped onto my shoulder.
"Don't let....him....hurt her..." Malachi mumbled.
Zenix ran at Loki, and this time, she had her knives back. Zenix just couldn't see it.
When he swiped at her face, he didn't even graze it, as she stepped back, and crawled through his legs, stabbing a knife in the small of his back.
Zenix screamed, and fell to the floor. Malachi's bleeding had stopped, thanks to Loki's legging.
When she saw her limb friend, Loki ran to him.
"Are you okay?" She said, examining his face and neck. He didn't respond.
Pulling him close, she squeezed her eyes shut hard.
"You won't die. I wont let you." She whispered.
Loud footsteps and clanking armor sounded to our ears.
"I'm not letting you go this easy." Zenix wheezed, and pulled Loki to him.
She kicked and screamed, but his grip was firm.
"STOP! LET ME GO!" She screamed, hoping the guards could hear her.
Garroth was the first one to get there, along with Dante and Laurance.
Garroth froze.
Well, if I were him, I would too. I thought about him and Zenix, what he was seeing right now.
The man he called his son had his friend in a headlock with her knife pressed against her neck.
"Z-Z-Zenix?'' He stumbled.
"Whose he?" Dante said.
"A bitch." Laurance growled.
"But, but but! Another step, guards, and I'll do what I did to that one!" Zenix shouted.
The knife was pressed down, and a bit of  blood seeped down her neck.
"Zenix, please leave her alone." Garroth half mumbled.
"Garroth, imma be honest. I dont care enough about you to hate you."
He looked at the floor.
"Zenix. Leave her alone." Garroth said sternly this time.
"I'm a grown man! I don't have to listen to YOU."
He pressed down again, and Loki cried out that time.
"Oh, you don't like that? Too bad." Zenix teased, and she kicked him in the shins.
Dante ran at him, and was knocked back to the railing, almost falling down.
"Dante." Loki wheezed.
"Zenix, get off her." Laurance growled.
"Meh. Okay." He sliced down Loki's back, making her cry out.
"Loki!" Dante and Garroth shouted at once .
They ran to her while I stood up.
"Oh? Finally taking some action?"
I wasn't usually one to resort to physical violence, but this guy was making me really mad.
So I punched him in the mouth.
"Athmau! I didn't fink woo would do suth a fing!" Zenix said in astonishment.
"Stay away from my friends." I shouted.
"Okay." He smiled at the sight of Loki doubled over.
"Zenix, leave, now."
"Fine. I thee I'm not wanthed weer."
He disappeared in a puff.
Malachi was barely awake, but my concerns were on Loki. Her blood was rapidly spilling onto the floor. Garroth and Dante were desperately trying to get the blood to stop, but it would just keep coming.
"Make it stop!" Loki screamed.
"Don't die, don't die." Dante was pleading, still wrapping everything over the cut.
I ran up to her, and put my hands on her back.
"I won't let you die. I promise." I held her hand, and she squeezed in pain.
Sobbing, half dead of blood loss, she looked into my eyes.
"Don't let me die." She whimpered.
"We wont, we promise. Laurance, go get Dr. Doctor. Now!" I said.
He rushed out, and Loki screamed some more.
"She's bleeding out!" Dante shouted.
I didn't want her to die. But if this truly was how she was to go, I layed my hands on her back, and she sobbed some more.
My hands started flashing, brighter and brighter, and then it was too bright to handle.
When the light left, Loki was on the ground, and her wound had healed. Completely. There was just a long scar down her back.
I lay back, scared and not knowing what I did, I breathed in and out so hard, it was scary.
I saw Dante and Garroth and Loki all hugging, and crying.
I saw Malachi, who just woke up.
"Mom!" He shouted.
I was too tired.
Loki's blood no longer stained the floor, and the knife was rusted in her blood.
"Aphmau!" Dante shouted.
"Aphmau! Are you okay? Thank you. Thank you so much." Loki bent down to hug me, but I was so tired that it hurt.
Zoey ran up to us, and saw the emotion, the terror, the Aphmau on the floor, everything.
"Zane..."
"What about him?" Loki asked.
"Hes... he's gone."
Thank you for reading! I know this was probably the longest chapter so far in The Keepers Daughter, and might just stay that way.
I'm so proud of myself for thinking this chapter up.
I was just sitting here with my dog, and I was all like, "Sydney, what should the next chapter be?"
And she was like "bark." Which is dog for Zenix should take the kids hostage and Loki should almost die and Aphmau should save her and while they are fighting him Brian let's Zane out, and then we have this talk tomorrow.
Ya.
Thanks for reading! I will update after my meeting with Syd about the next chapter. Also, thanks for reading this trash.
I know I've said that like, ten times, but whatever.
Thanks for all the reads.
