Things have changed so much over summer between everyone. Calla walked from her cherry red SUV to the school that she knew all too well, this time with mocha colored hair, her pale eyes shining in the light. They were all different, but it was mainly her; drifting away from everyone else like a log down a stream.

One of the nights, Calla and Abraham talked for 2 and 1/2 hours about things that they never even knew about each other. Both wishing that the other was there to comfort each other as one listened intently to the others soft sobbing. He never knew that they were abusing her and she never knew he had been through something so scarring to a child. She told him she cuts, burns, and has tried to kill herself, because she feels so out of place. She tells him about her foster parents agreement to put her in a mental hospital because she wasn't mentally stable, yet they don't do anything to fix it. They shared secrets they had never told anyone, Abraham told her if anyone were to hurt her he would kick their ass. Then he told her he loved her and her heart melted. It was 11 pm and both decided to go to sleep.

"I miss you," Calla whispered in the dark.

"I miss you too," Abraham whispered back.

"I love you, goodnight." Calla told him making sure she wasn't heard by her foster parents.

"I love you too, goodnight." He said back as they hung up the phone.

Calla laid there for a second and thought about what Abraham had said.

Her head may have been spinning with Abraham, but at the back to school night all she could think of was Timothy. He was there, but only for a split second and when Garrison was mentioned he scurried away quickly.

August wasn't the best month that could possibly happen, friendships started to become tense, but they held. Well they did for a little, it was all fine until Calla made the volleyball team and started losing time to do anything with her friends. Volleyball was every week night and she had work every weekend.

Calla no longer had any extra time, all she could do was her best to keep up. Her first volleyball game, they were so close to winning down my two points. Then September came and Tymm changed towards her.
