Everything changed swiftly about Calla. She lost her best friend to what she saw as a pointless fight. Words were said that Stelios could never take back; she dropped him so fast and backed away with such speed he kept a grudge.
All Calla did was tell him he was wrong in the argument that he had orchestrated. Just because KSL news says that by eating chicken when you are pregnant makes a gay baby doesn't mean it is true. That is far from a real fact; so Calla told him he was wrong and to walk away before he lost everything. Then the bell rang for class and Calla got up starting to head to the gym for dance. All she heard behind her was 'Go fuck yourself bitch', she knew his voice and that he was talking to her.
At least Tymm and Calla were doing so well... at the beginning of the month at least. They weren't dating, just good friends, she liked him, but she didn't think he liked her back. His words and his actions lined up depending on who was watching. If Kameron was there Tymm was different and acted different towards Calla.
Tymm would stay long after the games with his arms wrapped around Calla, swaying back and forth before she left to go home. He made her happy..... then he changed his mind. He started pushing Calla away after she kissed his cheek and it confused Calla. Tymm smiled and walked away blushing and yet he won't talk to her anymore.
Then they got in a fight on the day that could change Calla's life forever.
"So you're telling me that after everything it's over? Our friendship? Everything?" Tymm looked at her confused.
"Yeah, why wouldn't it be?" She snapped at him.
"Why are you being like this?" He looked like a hurt puppy.
"Being like what? Realistic?! You won't even text me back anymore, you stopped showing up to games. You completely disappeared from my life. And the worst part was that you were right in front of me the entire time." Her platform stayed calm and small, but she was upset you could see it in her eyes.
"I get it I screwed up! Why can't you just see that I want you?" He pleaded.
"Because boys like you don't really ever fall in love with girls like me." She replied.
"Please just stay and I can prove to you that I did and still do." He took a step closer to her.
"I can't, I'm almost out of time." She took a glance up at him with sorrow in her eyes.
"What the hell is wrong with you?" He spat out upset because he wasn't getting anywhere with her.
"Too much! There's always way too much 'wrong with me' for anyone to handle. Isn't that the problem? According to everyone there's way to much wrong with me, and you can't do anything about it, you can't change it. You say I need to be fixed, but you can't fix me. I'm not broken I don't need to be fixed! I'm just being the real me!" She pleaded.
"I get that now. I can't lose you! I don't care what I lose as long as it isn't you." He stepped closer.
"It's too late, you already have." Calla walked away to volleyball practice as he walked to Shakespeare practice defeated.
At practice Calla couldn't stop thinking about what he said and as she turned to listen to her coach a ball came flying at her head. It hit her perfectly and an instant headache came. She refused to stop playing and went to the doctor after practice only to find out she has a concussion and she was out for the rest of the season except the last game.
Everything fell apart once again and Calla finally felt defeated. There was very little left, she started to drift away into the darkening current. She floated away down the path of self destruction, no one could stop her. It was exactly what she wanted, it was everything she wished for. She finally had her reason and she started fighting to go down that path faster and faster.
