Okay so why do people think that Sokeefe could ever happen? Yes, we all know that Keefe likes Sophie, but what about Sophie herself? She likes Fitz! How do we know that? THE BOOK IS FROM HER POINT OF VIEW!
Sophie and Fitz are training to be cognates. They obviously have some chemistry there... If they didn't, then they wouldn't be compatible as cognates. If Fitz didn't like Sophie (as a friend in this case) then their entire relationship and special telepathic connection couldn't be as strong as it is. Ever wonder why Sophie and Keefe don't have any special connection like that? BECAUSE THEY AREN'T SPECIALLY LINKED TOGETHER LIKE SOPHIE AND FITZ!
Sokeefe can not and will not work.
