Out Of The Woods: Getting Lost in The Sea Of Thoughts

4:00 A.M.

"Guys get up we gotta go!" I panic.

"Calm down Tatiana it's only three- IT'S FOUR?!" Ally panics.

"No, it's two a.m." I sarcastically squint my eyes. Ally makes a straight face at me and gets the others up. Nobody moves.

"If you don't get up I'll sing," Ally says, nobody likes her singing. Everyone falls out of the bed half asleep and rushes to get ready. Peter and I eventually get done getting ready. He sits on the couch as I put my back against the bed sitting up. It was awkward and quiet.

"Look, I'm sorry I said that stuff about Gilbert. I was just mad; it was out of anger." Peter apologies. I don't say anything and just walk away raising one eyebrow. I can hear Peter sighing as I walk out the room. Five minutes later we all leave the hotel, in the back of our hotel there was a boy, he looks the same age as me.

"Hello, everyone. I'm Archie, and I'm your trainer. This is Rogue your other trainer." He looks at Rouge as he waves; Rouge looks about thirteen.

"I didn't sign up for someone the same age as me to teach me; we're probably on the same level as them!" Kailey crosses her arms.

"Is there a problem over here?" Archie shifts his fluffy brown eyebrows. His skin was light and dark, and his eyes were as brown as dirt. His hair is brown and smooth.

"Uh- well it's just, aren't you kind of young to be teaching kids the same age as you? For all, we know we could be on the same level." Kailey answers.

"Yes, I'm around your age but, age doesn't matter. It's about your strength. Now if you could please keep stupid questions to yourself that'd be great." He walks off stubbornly. I scrunch my eyebrows as he walks off.

"It's gonna be a long quest everyone," I say happily but sarcastically.

"Now look everyone, to get to the place where we'll be training for a few weeks we have to jump off this edge. If you take the ladder down, Group Omni isn't for you. If you jump, then you'll show us what you're made of." Rouge says, his light almost pale like skin shun too, his blue eyes almost look like water, his blonde hair shimmers. Everyone looks at each other.

"Do they think all of these fifteen people including us are gonna jump?" Tom asks.

"No that's the point, they don't wanna waste time training scardey cats," I answer.

"I didn't sign up to jump off a cliff and fall into- onto- who knows what!" Peter sighs.

"What's down there Archie?" Ally asks.

"Guess you'll have to find out." He smirks replying. Ally rolls her eyes. I suddenly smell seaweed and the ocean. I close my eyes to imagine the blue, salty, flowy, sea. I open my eyes to say

"There's water down there, with boats..?"

"Nice, let me guess Daughter of Zeus?" Archie asks.

"Percy Jackson actually," I answer. He pauses for a moment,

"Interesting." He raises an eyebrow and walks off.

"What was that?" I ask Ally.

"I don't even know." Ally sighs.

"Well, time to jump!" I run through the crowd and jump off the edge. I fall into the water, but I'm not wet, I pull myself up onto the boat. There was a seat for another person. I look around for my boat buddy. A boy falls into the water and climbs into my boat. What do you know, it's Archie. He's suspicious, and I have to remember not to trust anyone here, that doesn't mean I'm not curious. I wonder who his parents are. After everyone gets on the boat we row to our destination, Archie rows the boat by himself since I have no idea where we're going. I've held it in long enough I'm just going to ask.

"Who are your parents?"

"Why does it matter?" He asks.

"Well, I wanna know who I'm going to be working with for the next few weeks yeah?"

"My parents are... My parents." He refrains from answering the question. We arrive at a cave, and he helps me off the boat, not like I need help. I go into the cave and on the other side was a huge place full of training equipment, in the other room there are beds, in the last room there is a cafeteria.

"This place is fantastic!" Ally squeals behind me.

"It's pretty nice." I smile.

"As your first mission to show you're worthy, you'll be bait to some enemies. They are thugs looking for people like you to protect them. If you make it back with a green serum, I'll be surprised because five people didn't even jump into the boats today." Rouge crosses his arms.

"No weapons either," Archie adds.

"What?!" Drake panics.

"Scared? Don't be I'll protect you, Drake." Ally chuckles. Drake rolls his eyes.

"Well go!" Rouge shouts. We get to the thug's cave and act like we're lost.

"Look, Demigods!" One shouts. After, nine thugs run after us and put us in a truck, they tied our hands to the front. I look to the thug on the side of me; he has a gun in his pocket. I stare at Tom then eye the gun. Tom gets the message as he's shaking his head as if it's not a good idea to try anything. I roll my eyes and stand up, I break the plastic off my hands, grab the gun, and shoot one of the thugs another one fires a bullet from behind me, I backbend dodging the bullet. I kick over, and my legs hit the thug's face as I punch him to knock him down. One of the drivers run in and kicks me; I fall as I kick his foot breaking his ankle.

"Tom door," I say as I walk over to the truck's back door trying to open it, Tom uses all his strength and opens the door.

"Wait we're jumping? The car is MOVING!" Kailey shouts over the loud noise of the truck.

"I did the hard part just jump!" I shout back as I jump off the truck and roll to the ground. Almost everyone jumps, Nini and Kailey, are still in the truck.

"Just jump you, big baby!" Nini pushes Kailey off. Nini jumps off the truck and rolls to the ground.

"I can't breathe- I can't breathe." Kailey dramatically puts her hand on her forehead.

"How are you afraid of jumping and you can turn into an owl and fly!?" I roll my eyes.

"Flying and jumping from A MOVING TRUCK are both different." She gets up. I don't see how but I didn't say anything.

"We- WE DIDN'T GET THE SERUM!" Luke holds his head. Everyone groans.

"While I was fighting all the thugs off with no help whatsoever, I got the serum from a thug's pocket," I smirk holding it up. Everyone sighs of relief. Rouge and Archie walk up to us.

"Impressive Tatiana, Kailey next time just jump..." Rouge rolls his eyes.

"The serum?" Rouge holds out his hand. I stare at the serum wondering what it is.

"Today please." Rough rolls his eyes.

"What is it for?" I ask.

"None of your concern, the serum please."

"I found it, got it, and fought for it I deserve to know." I raise an eyebrow.

"Just tell her Rouge she's not gonna stop." Archie rolls his eyes.

"It is a serum to help heal people if they die. Feel better pumpkin?" Rouge smirks.

"Don't call me 'pumpkin' ever again." I drop the serum in his hand and walk back to the cave.
