Peter always can tell when I look startled.
"Are you okay? You seem kind of off?" Peter holds out his hand to help me up from the torn, leathered, seat.
"Yeah, I'm just worried, if we don't succeed you know what happens," I whisper as Peter and I walk towards the front of the train.
"Don't worry we've succeeded in every quest. We'll pass." Peter assures me.
"Well, it's not too late for the universe to hit us in our face," I mumble. The nine of us get off the train, we look at the building that we'll be getting tested in, then look at each other.
"It's now or never guys." I walk into the building putting my hands in my pockets. The building is filled with many demigods and others. The nine of us sign in and take a seat.
"Remember Omni is what we're aiming for." I remind them.
"Got it." Kailey inhales.
"Anyone nervous?" Ally plays with her hair; she does that when she's nervous.
"What's there to be nervous about?" Nini asks.
"Well if we fail this quest, we're done for!" Kailey answers.
"Good I wanna leave camp anyway." Nini rolls her eyes. Ally just stares and scoffs.
"Tatiana you're first." A lady with a clipboard says. Her blonde her shins and her hazel eyes sparkle. I follow the woman to the room.
"Choose your weapon." A voice says in the dark room, I could hear the sounds of birds, the wind blows, and my hair goes with it, like Pocahontas. There are weapons on a black wall held with a thumb tacks. There is a Katana, bow with some arrows, a sword, and more. I eye the bow and arrows but then eye the sword. I go with my gut feeling picking up the bow.
"Good choice, remember whatever is chasing you WILL NOT kill you, have no fear." The voice says. Suddenly I can see, I'm out in the woods. I hear a roar off in the distance, I've heard this roar before, it's a Grizzly Bear roar! I know that nobody can outrun a bear period. I climb up a huge Maple tree just as I see the robotic bear sniffing. He's aware that I wasn't too far from him. I take out my arrow and place it on the string of my bow. When I'm ready to shoot the tree breaks in half, what is it with me and branches breaking? I don't even think; I just run, there's probably a fifty percent chance that if I run now, I'll have a chance. I remember being taught something if you're ever in a bear encounter stand your ground and act bigger. I pause and turn around facing the bear as I wave my arms slowly and act bigger. The bear stands on its two legs and pauses for about 2.3 seconds. There's no way I'm taking a risk, in the back of the bear's neck there is a chip, so before it tries anything I take a chance and roll between the space of the bear's legs, turning around I shoot the robotic bear's chip. The chip starts smoking, and I know there's going to be an explosion. I quickly climb a tree, hop tree to tree, until I'm away from the bear completely. BOOM the bear explodes and sounds erupt in the distance. I go back to the weapon wall where my friends await. They all clap as Nini, Luke, and Anna look bewildered.
"Group Omni." The voice I heard earlier says.
"Uh- that was so risky and amazing!" Ally hugs me.
"I know my heart's still racing!" I take a moment to chug down a water bottle.
"So basically we gotta do something like that to get into Omni?" Nini's eyes widen a little.
"Yeah, why? Scared?" I grin.
"Pfft no. What you just did, I did when I was like two!" Nini chuckles.
"Good for you then yeah?" I smirk and walk away; I can hear Nini scoffing in the distance. An hour later my friends come out with excitement in their eyes.
"Finally! What are your results guys?" I ask.
"We all got in Omni! Considering we thought over our plan before we went in." Ally answers.
"Ugh... Here comes death, the people in Omni are savages." Peter crosses his arms.
"Coward much?" Tom chuckles.
"Says you, you're scared of clowns scaredy cat," Peter says stubbornly, and he wasn't joking.
"Hey, cool it. Calm down Pete." I say. He looks into the distance rolling his eyes.
"Gilbert would've probably failed the test, to be honest." Ally laughs, everyone starts laughing with her.
"Can we quit talking about Gilbert? He's gone. Dead. Old news." Peter says stubbornly, who does he think he is?
"Peter, will you suck it up already? You have no right to talk about Gilbert that way ESPECIALLY just because YOU'RE mad you didn't get into smart prodigies. So take a chill pill and sit somewhere." I snarl.
"Wow, who died and made you such a jerk-" Peter starts.
"What the actual heck Peter?" Kailey steps in.
"Wow, ugh." I walk away making a fist but keeping my cool, that is until Peter lightly grabs my shoulder.
"Tatiana I'm sorry-" He starts, but I turn around and punch him in the eye.
"Back off Peter." I turn around again and head to the hotel room the manager let us sleep in until morning. Peter and I are really close especially since he's my step brother. Percy (my dad) married Ajully and Annabeth (Annabeth is my step mom) I'm Ajully's daughter, and Peter is Annabeth's. I lay in the bed, and shortly my friends come in and lay down. Ally, Kailey, and I share a bed and fall asleep, and so do the others.
