Ahm stared at me confused and a little bit horrified. He closed his eyes trying to reel it all in.

"What are you talking about?" He asked me and I looked away from his hard gaze and admitted, "I need to get some words omitted off my physical form." He pulled me up by my arms to look at him in his face.

"Get what omitted?" Ahm's eyes squinted at me. I looked down, avoiding his hard gaze, "Some stuff..." His stare didn't let up, it basically told me that I needed to speak up, and to speak up right now.

"My doctor said that I couldn't play as many minutes anymore and I just want to get that part omitted off my report because I feel if I could do it before there's no reason why I can't now." I finished telling him and he looked at me like he couldn't believe what I was saying. "You are crazy." My shoulders slumped in defeat.

Ahm continued his lecture, "You must've lost your mind. I'm not going to do that. Now, if you killed someone or whatever, I'd get those documents fixed up in a hurry. But, your medical records, I'm not touching, and you shouldn't either. You should be lucky he even said you can play." I rolled my eyes.

"Please, Ahm. I never asked you for anything." I grabbed his hand asked again. "No." He simply said and I sighed out in defeat and I drooped back into the chair with defeat as well. "Don't give me that face. What if I did do this for you and you pass out on the court? Want me to be living with that on my heart?" He asked me and I ignored him.

I just turned around and started doing my homework again. "Now you're mad at me huh?" He asked but I continued to ignore him. "See, this is what I don't get about women. I do right, and treat you right, and I get the silent treatment for being a good boyfriend. This is incredible." He said out loud I guess to himself. "You're not my boyfriend." I corrected him and I felt his gaze change to some kind of hurt.

"Baby, you know I'm not doing this to punish you and nor is your doctor. I just want you to be okay." I kept my attention on my book, "Why are you acting this way? I'm just worried about you." His voice showed he was genuine, but it was clear he was getting impatient. "Know what, you're right. You had a bad day and I just made it worse. I'll give you the space you need. I know you're mad now, but try to think about where I'm coming from on this one ma."

He leaned down and kissed me on the cheek and he walked out my room. I sighed and sucked my teeth. What am I going to do now?

After practice Coach once again reminded me to turn in my papers. I sighed and said I would. I was walking out and I saw my friend leaning against the column as always. He was smiling at me and I breathed out. "You should stop coming, I'm going to quit soon." I said to him and he laughed. "Coach did you that badly you wanna quit?" I shook my head. "No." I said sadly. "Well, why?" He asked changing his tone.

"It's my physical. My doctor said I have to play with precaution and I don't want to do that. I tried to get someone to change the paper for me, but they said they wouldn't so I'm stuck. I don't want to play, if I can't play the way I want to." I spilled out accidentally and he said, "Show me the paper."

I flipped my backpack over my shoulder and I pulled out the paper and walked up to him and showed him. "See I wanna get this omitted. That's all." He took the paper, "Alright, I got you." He simply, I looked at him confused. "Huh?" I asked trying to see if I heard right. "I said I got you, don't worry. This can be done quick, I can give it back tomorrow, before practice so your coach won't ask you about it." He assured me.

"Uh, no. You don't have to do it. It's fine." I said trying to take the paper back but he yanked it from me. "Let me handle this. I know you like volleyball, so don't worry." I looked up at him trying to see if he was crazy or not. "What?" He laughed a little and I shook my head. "Nothing... What do I owe you?" I asked him and he laughed out loud. "Nothing. I can't really gain anything from a volleyball player." He teased and I hit him which shocked him.

"Nobody's ever hit me before, and got away with it." He said stunned and I shrugged, "I'm not 'Nobody'. Now come on and tell me who had you fucked up today." I said while walking towards my car. He chuckled and followed behind like always. "This dude walked up on me and stepped on my timbs." He started, "The black ones?" I asked and he nodded, "Yeah, you know those are my favorite ones."

"Well, he thought he was being mister bad ass mother fucker, so I asked him for my money or you know, let's go back to the warehouse and talk about payment plans. He goes 'Fuck you' and this and that. I was like, man I'm trying to do you right cause our moms are friends. He still was acting wild, so I was like alright, I'm cool, but I don't take disrespect to coolly. He just walked on me and stepped on my timbs and tried to swing on me." He shook his head.

"That is kinda disrespectful. You probably provoked him though." I said to Cooley and he was acting like he was offended, "I swear I didn't do anything. He works for me; he knew he had to pay me my money every Monday." I rolled my eyes as we approached my car. "Anyways, Jas was about to dead the dude, but I just said you know outta respect for our mom's, just pay me by the end of the week." He finished off and I shook my head.

Sarcastically, I said, "Man, your job must be so hard." It made him smile, "You have no idea. And I don't know why I'm the dude they try. Don't they know that I get them back?"

"Maybe, you're not being assertive enough." I suggested and he shook his head, "I'm a hard man, but I ain't no ruthless killer. I'm not with that shit, that's why people like me more than Ahmed." Cooley took a jab at Ahm.

"I'm actually pretty soft hearted and I guess people don't take me seriously, but I rather that then be labeled as something I know I'm not. I'm too chill to actually walk around like I don't care half the time." He continued with the jabs and I chuckled, "He's gotta do what he's gotta do." I shrugged my shoulders. "Yeah, but I know you don't like it. But it's cool, I know my place. I don't speak on other relationships, especially when I'm on the outside looking in."

I nodded and opened my door, "Thank you again, you really don't have to do this though." I told him and he laughed, "Yeah, yeah. Hey, you're not going to pass out or anything if I do this right? Cause I'd hate to have this on my conscious." He asked me trying to make sure. "I'm sure." I reassured him and he nodded. "Alright, I'll see you tomorrow. When does your practice start?" He asked me. "4:15." I answered. "Alright, see you at four o'clock." I nodded.

I got in the car "Get home safe Dimples." He said like always and he closed the door and tapped the top and backed away.
