The Luna gets bullied at school

Chapter 7

"I look ridiculous." 

Standing in front of the mirror, I examined the dress adorning my body. A floor length red lace dress with a nude under cover that looked like it was made in the 1920's with red roses thrown all over it. It was not fitting, at all. 

"No you don't! You look gorgeous!" Levi tried to help, but it was horribly obvious how much he agreed with me.

"What would happen if this dress suddenly, I don't know, spontaneously combusted?" I turned towards Levi who was leaning up against a wardrobe.

"We have about 15 more dresses that look exactly like it, for that exact reason." Levi pushed open the wardrobe door while still leaning in the same spot, and low and behold, a shit ton of ugly red dresses.

"What are you?" 

"I'm a forty five spinning on an old victrola, I'm a two strike swinger, I'm a Pepsi Cola..." Levi mumbled to himself as I just rolled my eyes 

"Ugh, why do I even have to wear this dress? Its so embarrassing." I whined a little more, just to maybe get Levi to tell me I didn't have to wear the dress.

"Its a very special dress that has been handmade by past Lunas of the pack. It tells the story of how the pack came to be albeit it is strange how it happens. The roses symbolize the Scarlet Flowers that once resided in the Goddesses' garden. And the Red lace symbolizes the Fire in which the Goddess used to burn the flowers."

"Why did she burn the flowers?" I was intrigued by the story and wanted to know the rest. I sat down on a stool nearby and placed my elbows on my knees and my head in my hands, leaning in to hear more.

"Long long ago, a young werewolf and his mate had been trying to conceive for a long time, but were medically unable. One day the woman cried out to the Goddess begging her for just one child. While the woman was in the woods, her pack was attacked by humans, and her mate and the entire village was burned. No one survived, except for the woman. Heartbroken and enraged, the woman vowed she would avenge the death of her mate and her pack."

I could feel a pain in my heart, and a feeling of sadness washed over my entire body.

"The Goddess too, was heartbroken, for her children had been killed. Infuriated, she burned the Scarlet roses and gave them to the woman, she told her that if she found a secluded place deep in the woods, and buried the ashes of the roses, she would have a child who would avenge her mate and the pack for her."

"But that doesn't make sense! Her mate is dead how can she have a baby?"

" THE GODDESS WORKS IN MYSTERIOUS WAYS!"

"Geez okay..."

"Anyways, before I was so rudely interrupted..." Levi gave me a smirk and I rolled my eyes "The woman travelled for days, making sure she put hundreds of miles in between her and the place she once called home, until she found this place. She stood where you will stand soon and buried the rose ashes in the ground."

I leaned in closer, clinging to every word that came from Levi's mouth. 

"She waited, and waited, and waited. But nothing happened. The woman was furious. She had felt as though the goddess had lied to her, the woman set up camp and waited for two months for something to happen. Over the course of those months, many rouge females came through the womans camp. She along with the others started to set up a small village in the woods." 

"The pack was founded by women!?! Thats so cool!" 

"I know right! Now hush, I'm trying to finish the story." 

"Okay okay." I rolled my eyes, AGAIN.

"Over the following few months the small village began to thrive, with the woman as the head. Many young families and young rouges began joining the small pack, and things were going well, but the woman still didn't have her baby. Years passed, and the promised child still had not come, but in the place where the woman buried the rose ashes, was a single rose bush. This rose bush was pretty weird though, it's rose buds never died, even when winter came around, the roses stayed intact. One cold snowy winters night, the woman was sitting in her cabin looking out at the rose bush, she turned away for a few minutes and when she looked again, there was a small thing laying on the ground next to the bush."

*GASP* "A BABY!"

"Do you want to finish the rest of the story?!?"

"No! No! I'll stop interrupting!" I placed my hand over my mouth and giggled at Levi.

"Thank you, and yes it was a baby. The woman heard the cries of the child and rushed outside. She took a blanket with her and bundled the child and held it tightly to her chest. She looked around trying to find who had left the child there, but no one was found. Wolf prints could be seen coming towards the bush, and prints going away from the bush, the child had been abandoned."

A small tear I didn't know existed slowly slid down my face, I wiped it away quick and turned my attention back to Levi.

"The woman took the child in as her own, and immediately thanked the Goddess. The baby was a girl, and the woman named her, Fleur . The very next day, the woman held a small town meeting in front of the rose bush. As she introduced her newly adopted daughter, the rose bush suddenly burst into flames, and disappeared, all that was left was a single white rose. Years later, Fleur ended up marrying her mate, who was an alpha of a small pack. The two packs decided to unite and become one large pack.'

" After Fleur and her mate got married, they decided to have an official Alpha and Luna 'coronation' if you'd like to call it that. It was mid December and the ground was covered in beautiful white snow. In the middle of the ceremony, the pack was attacked by the descendants of the humans who had attacked the womans home long ago. The woman fought as hard as she could against the humans, but she was becoming much older and much less agile and strong. It wasn't long before she was struck down by one of the humans. Fleur watched as her mother died right in front of her. Enraged and showing no mercy, Fleur killed off the humans one by one.'

 "After the fight was over, the ground was no longer so white, but was now a Scarlet red. Fleur and her mate had all the humans bodies burned and the bodies of the pack members were buried later. Fleur buried her mother underneath the same spot she was found when she was a baby. Fleur remembered when she was a child, her mother told her the story of how The Goddess burned her Scarlet roses and gave them to her mother, promising one day she'd have a child. Fleur talked with her mate and the pack and they decided to name their pack the Scarlet fire pack."

"Wow. The history of this pack is so cool! Back at my old pack, we got our name because one of the founders fell into the valley we live in. Apparently he didn't 'hear' it coming." 

"Uh huh. Well our story may be unusual, but it's important to us here. Remember how you asked what would happen if that dress spontaneously combusted? Well, we're going to light that sucker up later today and something awesome is gonna happen."

"Alpha Levi! Luna Dawn! The ceremony will begin in one hour, and Levi, your sisters are here." Beta Ferin walked into the room just as I was about to say something.

"Okay, see you later love." Levi kissed me goodbye and left with beta Ferin.

"WAIT WHAT!!!"
