"Guys come on, I'm ready to get this over with," I whined out.
I couldn't believe we were out in the middle of the woods, at three in the morning, trying to find a stupid mansion, all-cause Michael lost a bet.
"Oh come on Lilly it's not gonna be that bad," Michael said.
"Yeah right," I said, rolling my eyes, as I let out an annoyed sigh.
"This is all your fault you know!"
"My fault. How the hell is this my fault?" Michael asked.
"If you hadn't opened your big mouth and started making bets with people, we would all be home instead of freezing our asses off," I said in frustration.
We were all at a party a few days ago, and Michael had been drinking a lot. The next thing I knew, he got the six of us into a bet, well more like a dare he couldn't get out of.
"It's not that big of a deal."
"We're about to be at an abandoned mansion at three in the morning with a fucking Ouija board and you think it's not that big of a deal."
"Will you two please shut up," Brii said.
I looked over to see she was in her usual attire. Ripped jeans, her favorite band T-shirt, and her signature red sneakers.
Brii and I had met when we were in fourth grade, we've been the best of friends ever since then, inseparable most people would say.
We've been through a lot together, at times we were the only ones there for each other. Brii had recently told me that she was gay, I was the only person to know in our whole group.
"But Brii," I said.
"No buts, if I have to listen to you two bitch anymore, I'm going to pull my hair out," she said.
"Guy's I found the gate," Maria said.
"Thank god, now we can get this over with," Peter said walking past me.
Peter was a guy we had all met in our freshman year of high school. He had moved down from Kentucky. Peter was about six foot even, hair black as night and some of the most beautiful blue eyes you'd ever see.
"So," Blake said walking up next to me.
"So?"
"Tell me. How do six seniors end up in the woods this late at night?"
"You can thank that jackass right there," I said pointing to Michael, Blake shook his head laughing.
"I can hear you, Lilly," Michael said.
"Good that's what I was shooting for," I said while Michael was flipping me off.
"You nervous?" Blake asked.
"Very, I wish I would've stayed home, to be honest."
"Well, why didn't you?"
"Brii didn't want to come by herself, even though I promised her she'd be fine, but what can I say she talked me into it," I said smiling.
"I didn't want to come either, but Peter talked me into it, so it look's like we're both gonna suffer," he said.
"Well, at least we have each other."
"Thank god, if you weren't here, I think I'd lose my mind tonight," he said as he wrapped his arm around my shoulders.
Blake and I were great friends, you could say he was my closest friend a side from Brii that is. Blake had recently confessed to me that he was in love with me.
At first, I didn't know how to react, I mean my best friend of six years just told me he was in love with me. I think I was more scared than anything if I was being honest.
I have been in love with Blake for years, but I eventually got to a point where I had to give up. I just always figure he didn't like me in that way.
"I guess we better get going then," he said, removing his arm and walking away.
"Blake wait."
"Yeah?" Blake stood there, waiting for me to say something.
"I j-just wanted to tell you t-that I, well you know," I said hoping he understood what I was trying to tell him.
"That you?" He said in a questioning tone.
"Nothing," I said sighing.
"I'll tell you later ok."
"You sure?" he asked.
"Oh my god, will you two love birds hurry up," Maria yelled from the gate.
"Come on," Blake said, grabbing my hand as he guided me to the gate.
'Here we go.' I thought to myself.
