(Maria's pov)
Maria laid there numbly in bed, staring at the ceiling fan, watching as the blade's went around and around, over and over again. This is all she did since Michael died a week and a half ago, she stayed in her room. She quit going to school, didn't see no point in going anymore, she quit eating, every time she'd try to eat she'd just get sick. The memory of Michael's lifeless body lying there, just kept popping up in her head, every time she'd close her eye's he was there. Every time she would try to sleep she'd wake up screaming, it would take hours for her parent's to get her calmed down after a dream. She looked over to her nightstand to see the last photo Michael and her took. A sad smile played on her lips as a tear rolled down her cheek.
"Maria" her mom said from the doorway.
"Yeah" she said in a weak voice.
"Dinner is ready, would you like to join us" her mother asked even though she knew the answer.
"I'm not hungry" Maria said, wiping her tears away.
"Alright" she said with a sigh before closing her daughter's door. Maria's heart was broken, she didn't know what to do since Michael left. Sighing Maria rolled onto her side and closed her eye's, maybe just maybe she could get a good night's rest.
(The Next Morning)
"Maria time to get up" her father said walking over to her bed. "Maria come on sweetie" he said shaking his daughter, he noticed that she wasn't breathing. "Maria" he said in a panicked tone, he left his daughter's bed and ran downstairs. "Call an ambulance" he said to his wife.
"Why" she said with a concerned look on her face.
"Maria's not breathing" he said running back upstairs as her mother dialed the police. The police arrived a few minute's later but it was to late, Maria was gone.
