A/N: so badly i wanted to title this "pft, parental supervision? what's that?" but it's too long and, ya know, gotta keep up with themessssssss

At some point during the night we had ended up at Lafayette's house, but last night was just so exhausting, I don't even remember it happening.

Getting up at Lafs house was surprisingly easy. Maybe because we were all very tired last night and that when we woke up, Herc had blasted music in our ears to wake us up, so that when we were getting ready, our jittering bones kept us acting quickly and we were out the door in record time. It wasn't until we got out the door that we had even spoken about our plans for the day.

"Ideas?"

Hercules looked at us. "I was actually thinking we should go to the mall. I mean, we've more or less done everything else." It really didn't take much to get all of us to agree to that.

All that was left to do was to beg Lafayette's mom to drive us to the mall. That also surprisingly didn't take long. His mom loved the mall and she had the day off, so she almost immediately agreed to take us and then, like, fifteen minutes later, we were all at the mall running around and being told not to run by security guards.

Eventually, we had ended up at Hot Topic, naturally as teenagers do. Honestly, I've fallen in love with the store since John made me go in a few weeks ago and he explained everything to me. They have the best dinosaur t-shirts. The three of us explored their collections of t-shirts, pins, Pop Funko dolls, while John stayed almost exclusively in the Harry Potter section.

The line was fairly long, so the four of us were lightly talking and looking at the items they had. In particular, their bath bombs caught my eye. They were beautifully colored and the names were creative. One of the employees caught me staring. "You know, they also smell pretty well. My favorite is the Earth bomb." I smiled at her, picking a purple one up entitled "the 'F' bomb". Then, I picked up another one. This time it was a white one with a red heart in the middle. This one was called "the Love bomb". Reading through all of descriptions (and showing them to the guys), I went with "the Galaxy bomb", John got "the Bling bomb", and "the Birthday bomb", Herc got "the Earth bomb" and another Galaxy bomb, Lafayette got "the 'F' bomb" and also got a Bling bomb. I was the only one of us who didn't get two bath bombs. None of the other ones sparked my interest, besides, I hate baths, but I was willing to give them a chance with the bombs.

I didn't know what it was, but just the feeling of cleaning myself and then just sitting in the filth I just washed off was absolutely disgusting. I shuddered at the thought. And baths usually aren't even big enough for you to lay comfortably in them. Honestly, I don't know why I got a bomb with how much I hated baths, but it's fine. I was too tempted.

We finished up in Hot Topic and ended up in Macy's, already looking at tuxedos for the freshman dance coming up in two months. None of us actually ended up purchasing a tux, but that didn't stop the ideas from flowing out. However, we did end up buying ties.

But it wasn't until we made it to Sears that there was a problem. None of us saw it coming, and it wasn't even our fault. It started with the kid. Charles Davids. He was the little brother of the most popular girl in school - Laurie Davids. He started off with some light teasing, insulting our looks a little bit, and we'd get annoyed with him, but nothing more than that. The kid was, like, ten, so we excused his terrible behavior, but we did wonder where his guardian was.

Then, Charles didn't seem to want to quit and he started making faces at us, taking what we were looking at and ran, so we needed to chase him. The workers did not seem to be too pleased with us and wanted us out, but we weren't causing a big enough disturbance for them to have reason to kick us out.
