Patience. Something I really need to work on. Training for strength is draining me but I know it'll be worth it in the end. Right? Right.

" Come on now Sierra." I yell with a chuckle. She runs back and forth a few times again before huffing loud.

" This is too much." She whines, sweat trickling down her face. I laugh with a nod.

" But it'll be worth it!" I reply sternly. She huffs but nods in agreement and starts running more.

I smile as I look around in triumph at our little make shift training room. We found some old weights down in the basement and we're practicing different things with them, from throwing them to lifting to running with them. Then we found some obstacle courses, more like old wore out tires to run and jump through.

It's not the best but it's good enough to get us prepared for the outside. We've also been doing dodging practice and target practice. It's been a lot of hard work, but I think it's really going to pay off.

I think of my parents and how much I miss them. Then I think of Ryan's parents too, always so kind when meeting me. I thought of them as my second parents away from home. Right now I want nothing more but to hug them and tell them how much I love them. With all this training, I will.

" Sophie." I hear none other than Ryan's voice call out. I snap my head towards him and see that's he's all sweaty from training. I grin.

" Yes?" I ask, walking toward him.

" Come with me." He says holding his hand out. I smile and grab onto his hand.

" Where to?" I ask as he leads me out of the room.

" You'll see." Is his dully dreaded reply. I sigh.

" Why can't I know." I ask. He chuckles.

" It's a surprise." He says, squeezing my hand.

" You know I hate surprises Ryan." I reply, with another audible sigh. He chuckles again, ignoring my comment and keeps leading me to wherever he's leading me to.

I just follow along, looking around I notice that he's leading me to the back porch.

" Ryan..." I whisper. He turns to look at me with a raised eye brow.

" What?"  He asks cautiously noticing my sudden change of mood.

" Why are we going out here?" I ask, looking around in worry. It's not safe.

" Only for a few seconds baby. Don't worry, I'm here with you." He whispers, grabbing my hand and squeezing it.

I nod following his lead. He leads me to the back yard, there's fake roses spread out every where causing a smile to slip onto my face. He leads me into the middle of them and gets down on one knee and pulls out a little box. My eyes widen as realization of what he's doing dawns on me.

" Sophia Elizabeth Carter, will you be my wife, and let me love you for the rest of my life? Will you marry me?" He asks, looking up into my eyes with a nervous glint flashing through his eyes.

My smile widens and I nod quickly pulling him into a big hug. He smiles, holding me close to him. Then he kisses me, as soon as his lips touch mine I hear soft clapping in the back ground. After kissing him back, I turn to see everyone on the back porch watching. A blush covers my cheek and I look into Ryan's eyes and smile.

" Yes, I will marry you." I say to confirm my nod.

His smile gets bigger and its all I could do not to melt into a big puddle as he looks into my eyes lovingly. He hugs me again before leading me back inside.

" I'm sorry that it wasn't the best proposal and certainly not what I had in mind." He says quietly, I shake my head and shush him.

" It was perfect, Ryan." I interrupt him. " I love you." I add, looking at him with a smile.

" I love you too, Sophie." He replies, adding in my nickname.

For something so bad to be happening in the world right now, in this moment I'm utterly speechless at my overwhelming happiness. I never knew when I would marry Ryan, or if I ever would, but I knew that we were going to last. Sophia and Ryan. Forever and always.
