Girlie Day

-CHAPTER THIRTY FOUR-

Amber's P.O.V:

"Morning. How are you feeling today?" Nikki asked as she walked into the lounge to find me sitting with a bowl of cereal watching cartoons.

"Meh." I replied with a mouthful of cereal.

"That good huh." She took a seat next to me. "Let's go out today, have some girl time, go shopping get some lunch what do you say?"

"That sounds like fun."  I agreed.

"Good well once you've eaten go up and get ready. /it's about time you started to move forward and enjoy life again." Nikki said.

"Yes Ma'am."

Showered, dressed and ready to go we headed into town. First we hit a few shops then as we were walking past our local tattoo/piercing parlor I noticed in the window a sign reading it was walk in Wednesday. I looked to Nikki. I wanna get my tragus pierced."

"Well let's go in then." Nikki grinned ushering me inside.

"Hello, how can I help you today?" The tattooed from head to toe middle aged woman wit black pixie cut with purple underneath asked. 

"Does the walk in Wednesday include piercings?"

"Of course. What are you looking for. Come sit." She asked patting the chair next to her work station. 

"I'd like my tragus pierced."

"That's not a problem darlin. Now was it just one or both?" 

"Just my left one please."

"Right-O." She smiled and set about washing her hands, putting her gloves on and preparing her station. "Okay darlin I need to clean the area then I will mark the spot to see if you like how it'll be positioned then I will apply numbing gel and we will get started." She explained. 

"Great sounds good." I smiled. So she set about cleaning the area and marked a spot and gave me a mirror. Once I confirmed I was happy with that she rubbed numbing gel on before telling me to lie down. 

"Now I'm going to clamp your ear okay." She said.

"Okay." She clamped my tragus and made sure it was positioned right before grabbing a curved needle. "Now I want you to concentrate on your breathing deep breath in deep breath out keep doing that and I will count to three."

"Okay." I replied I took a deep breath in and a deep breath out. A deep breath in-"

"1" Deep breath out. "2" Deep breath in "3" Deep breath out and she pushed it through. My eyes started to water and of course there was a bit of pain but nothing to moan about. "Okay now I'm going to push the jewellery through." She said grabbing it and carefully pushing it through while taking the needle out. "Oh there's a bit of blood." She grabbed a cotton swab and started to clean the blood up. Five swabs later and the bleeding subsided so she continued to close the jewellery cleaned up the area then I was done. "That's you. How are you feeling?"

"Great thank you."

"Okay sit up slowly take a minute." I done as she said but I honestly felt fine. She handed me the mirror to see the final product. 

"Thank you so much. It's perfect." I said as I headed over and paid her. 

"You're welcome darlin. Enjoy your day."

"You too." I  smiled as we left. 

"Lets see." Nikki said as we exit. I showed her. "Oh it's pretty." 

"I love it." I beam. "So where ti next?"

"Lunch? I'm starving."

"Good call."

We went to a small cafe on east and 5th for lunch. I got a tuna melt with a side salad while Hayley went for a grilled chicken salad. 

"Thanks for this. It is exactly what I needed. I feel... Normal again free from the crazy drama that has been my life these last couple of month."

"It's just what the Doctor ordered. A girls day can solve almost anything." Nikki giggled. 

"Amen to that." I raised my Dr Pepper. Laughing also until something caught my eye. A couple of girls sitting across from us were pointing at me while whispering amongst themselves. "Okay maybe I'm being paranoid but I swear those girls over there are talking about me." I said to Nikki slightly nodding in their direction. Nikki glanced over. 

"So let them. Sweetie I don't mean to sound harsh, but you had an affair with a celebrity married man. You're gonna have to ride it out. But don't worry in a week or so you'll be old news and things will settle down."

"Yeah I guess you're right." I nodded. "Can we go though I hate just sitting here knwoing they are whispering about me."

"Sure let's head back home. How about we swing by the store buy in a bottle of JD and make it a girls night too? We can pamper ourselves and watch some hot guys in a movie or two."

"That sounds perfect." I agreed as we gather our things up and take our leave.

I pull up into the drive and notice Jensen's car in his driveway. He glanced over and gave me a small smile. The passenger side then opened as Danneel got out the car.

"Danneel, hey." I said she simply glared at me. I step up to the fence. "I know you hate me, but I really want to say I'm sorry for your loss, but I'm glad you're okay."

"Please just don't talk to me." Is all she said.

"FIne I understand, but know I am here if you need anything."

"Shut up, just shut up and stop acting so nice. God you're such a two faced whore." She spat at me before almost collapsing. She caught herself on the car, but Jensen hurried around for support.

"Amber please just go leave it alone." Jensen said firmly.

"Sorry." I said and walked back to the car got the groceries out the boot and headed inside Nikki following behind.

"You okay?"

"Yeah I'm fine. I mean I deserved a lot worse than that. I hate that I lost Danneel as a friend. I wanna be there for her during this hard time and do what friends do, but I can't because I lost that right when I... Well you know." I sighed. "I'm trying hard not to feel sorry for myself since this is all my own doing, but it hurts and I hate it."

"I wish I had some magical words that would make you feel better about the situation, but I don't as you said this is your own doing and you just gotta ride it out like I said before. Now come on don't let this ruin our day."

"You're right. Let's continue our girl day.
