Chapter 18 : Anniversary

Sky's pov

Argh! I can't think of a thing? What is happening with me? Is it really so much difficult? Yeah, bet on it.

A gift for really rich people, who literally have all the things possible in world, is really hard thing to do. I have raked my head fully to think about a thing but I am completely failing at it.

Last time I sent them on a foreign trip with my internship money but what now? Can't do the same thing again. Shall I ask Bloom? She sometimes gives nice ideas.

I call her to ask her to come to my office. She was seeing some patient so it will take her time. I start to think again about what I should gift them when my phone ring again.

Oh, my mom?

"Hey Mom!" I spoke lovingly.

"Hey son." She said cheerfully.

"Mom, all alright? You generally don't call me at work." I asked worried.

"Yeah, everything's perfect. I just called to tell you that we are holding a grand party at our anniversary, four days after. You have a surprise for you!" She says excitedly.

"Wow! That's great!" I smile. Yeah another occasion for me to 'socialise' with people whom I don't even like cuz all they care about is the amount of money they are printing. Well anyways, all that makes my parents happy makes me happy.

"Okay son, I gotta go now. You know, making arrangements. You have got to be here the whole day that day, okay?" She asked.

"I would, gladly." I smiled again. Though she can't see me but she can definitely tell that I am smiling cuz she can always tell how I am feeling even from my voice.

"Okay, bye son. Take care." She says.

"Bye Mom. You too, take care!" I say & kiss on the mobile.

She kisses too & then hang up.

Well so there will be party & arrangements are already on but their lovely son whom they are so proud of is still clueless about the gift he should give. Just great!

Just then, someone knocks on the door. Must be Bloom.

"Come in." I say.

"Good morning Sky!" Bloom greets as she enters, smiling. Glad that she considers me as her friend at least.

"Good morning Blue! Can you please help me. I have raked my head thoroughly still I can't think anything." I say as she takes a seat in front of mine.

"You can't figure something? Wow! Okay, ask. I would try to the best my limits." She smiles.

"The thing is, my parents have their anniversary four days from now & there's already arrangements being made for the party. I still can't think of a gift!" I explain while she listens carefully.

"Okay I get. It must be difficult to think of a gift for rich parents." She says as a matter of fact whilst thinking deeply.

"Yeah. That's exactly the problem." I say.

"Have you tried preparing breakfast for them & have them eat it whilst you play romantic song on your violin? I bet your parents would love it!" She says gleaming.

Yes! Amazing idea. My mother loves it when I play violin too. It might just be right.

"Wait. No. You should do something that your parents can show to the guests who come to the party." She says frowning. Then her eyes light up again. "What about painting? Do you know art?"

"Yes. I pretty good at it instead. That's a wonderful idea. Why didn't I think of it. We can even put it up in the hall for everyone to see & make my parents happy." I grin. May be I can combine both the ideas.

"Thanks Blue. You are the best!" I say I go down to her as she gets up & hug her. She hugs me back after a few seconds of shock, awkwardly but still...SHE HUGGED ME BACK!

She then took her leave & I once again to do my work.

Now it was end of the day. Time to pack & I had already decided a pic on internet to paint for the gift. I was really excited about it. As I was packing up my things, my sister called me. What's wrong today?

"Yo sis!" I greet her.

"Yo little bro!" She greets me too.

"Wassup? Anything's wrong?" I ask worried again.

"You really wanna know?" She chuckles.

Okayyyyyyy... something's fishy.

"I think no." I said but she started to tell me anyways.

"You know about the grand party our parents are holding on their anniversary?" She enquired excitedly.

"Yeah?" I say somewhat in a questioning way. What's about that seriously?

"Well, it is actually to announce your marriage with my best friend, Hannah Summers!" She exclaims happily.

I am instantly filled with anger. How can they do that without asking me? That's the surprise mom was talking about! Seriously? Dad promised me that if I become the CEO of our company successfully, fully deserving the title, then he won't do anything like this.

I mean I already know that Hannah liked me & I liked her too but always as a sister. Every girl around me looked at me that way so I thought that it was okay but now!

"They can't do this to me! This is so not done! How can they pick up anyone whom I have to spend my whole life with? Dad promised me he won't do anything like this. They absolutely can't do that! I will talk to them. DIDN'T I ALREADY TELL THEM THAT I ALREADY HAVE SOMEONE I LIKE? I will definitely not marry Hannah!" I shout, letting out my fury. I hang up the call not ready to listen anything.

As I sit in my chair to calm myself, my gaze shift to the door to my office. Shit! She heard!

"Wait, Bloom!" I shout as I run towards the door to explain to her, but she had already dashed off. Crying I guess. Shit! Holy fucking shit! Why did it have to happen? Now when everything seemed to going just fine?
