Chapter 24 : We are meant to be

"Sky, we need to talk." I say seriously as I entered his office first thing this morning.

"Anytime you want sweetheart. Grab a seat." He smiled while I frowned at his endearment.

"Why did you pulled off that stunt in front of my parents?" I shouted angrily as I plopped down on a seat in front of his working table whilst he was leaning in his own seat like a boss across the table.

"I just told them the truth. I believe they should know this." He said coolly, totally unaffected by my outburst.

"Don't fool around. I know you love that miss se--- erm....I don't know her name but you were having lunch with her once. I saw you kiss her." I said through clenched teeth feeling hurt as the scene flashed in my head again.

"What are you even talking about? I haven't even batted an eyelash at anyone after meeting you!" He said, obviously offended & his eyes widened a bit.

"Uh-huh. You mean I am lying? You a-" I was interrupted by his ringing mobile which was the ringing for the 10th time now since I entered. We have been ignoring it for a while but now I think it's serious. He picked up the mobile finally when I stopped talking & gestured him to take it.

"Hello." Sky speaks on the phone. Upon hearing to the other side, his facial expression changes from smile to worry. What happened?

"I am on my way. Hang in there!" Sky spoke standing up & grabbing his keys, obviously worried.

"Brandon's in trouble. He sounded as if in pain & I don't know what the hell happened. That guy is trouble! We need to get there soon so that I can beat some sense into him!" He exclaimed angrily but anxiousness written all over his face.

Of course our conversation hasn't ended & was still a moot point but right now I don't care. Brandon is in trouble!

God, please keep him safe till we reach him. If something happens to him, it would be a disaster for Stella. I don't want any tears in my bestie's eyes so I didn't even once asked Sky to slow down when he accelerated above the speed limit.

We reached real quick to our destination & run through people to reach where Brandon was supposedly present but when we actually saw them, we were both shocked.

"You fucking asshole!" Sky ran towards him & punched Brandon in his abdomen who was now bended over in pain. You must be thinking that Sky is so cruel but he isn't. I wanted to do just the same because these morons (Brandon & Stella) were  grinning while waving their hands towards us.

They freaking lied to us!

Before I didn't notice in worry, but right now we are in our college in which we used to study; where an annual fest was going on with Stella & Brandon at a stall which said 'Is S/He your real valentine?' Crap.

I walked to Stella to talk some sense into her for doing this while Sky was continuously throwing profanities at Brandon about how this was such a bad idea to call him there.

"Since you are already here, why not compete?" Brandon smiled sheepishly while running the back of neck. When he noticed Sky shaking his head, he continued "If you win against me, I will..." He said & winked.

"Afraid to lose?" He smirked.

"Dream on kiddo. Bring it on. So where are you gonna lose?" Sky smirked.

"There." Brandon pointed towards the dreaded stall. 'Is s/he your real Valentine?'

"Okay. But my partner?" Sky questioned while looking at me. Now it's my turn to say dream on but some girls, still students who were around, pounced on him asking to be his partner. Do these girls have no brain? They are only feeding his ego. And the clinging? Seriously they are making me furious!
