The moment I glanced at Samm, I knew exactly where the boat had brought us.
We had made it to the D company.
I got off the boat and was followed by Isolde,Marcus and Samm . I began to tether the boat and then I realized that Xochi hadn't gotten off the boat.
"Come on ,Xochi. Let's go."I said.
She hadn't heard me and continued to listen to music."XOCHI!" I shouted.
She removed one of her earphones,"What?,"she asked impatiently,"I was listening to a good song."
"We made it to land."I said gesturing around us.
She then got off the boat and surveyed the area."Is it just me or does this place look familiar?" she said. Even Marcus began to think and then his eyes lighted up when he guessed.
"This was my old home,"said Samm. His voice was flat and no type of emotion was there in it.
"So this is where the Partials lived,"said Isolde.
I began leading the group and Samm joined me up front. "Do you mind that we came here?" I asked him gently."It's alright. I had to come back here sometime or the other. Besides I know that us coming here wasn't intentional and you need to find survivors.
I smiled at him and gently kissed him on the cheek after which he blushed slightly.
We decided to split up to cover more ground by sunset. Xochi and Isolde came with me while Marcus went with Samm.
"So, what are we looking for Kira?' Xochi asked me.
"Survivors. If any at all."I said and we all nodded and began to search the landscape.
