Klaus POV

When I came back out of my house Caroline look bewildered and I am pretty sure it was something Claire said. After we got in the car I couldn't help, but ask.

"What did Claire say to make you in this unexplained mood? "

"W-what are you talking about?" Caroline stuttered.

"When I came back out you were all shaken up and I know it was something that Claire said." I explained to my love what I was talking about.

"Oh that um...she was just trying to tell me that being with you was a mistake." Caroline explained to me and I knew she wasn't lying because her heart beat didn't go up.

I need to stop that habit. I should be able to trust Caroline. I shouldn't have to depend on her heart beat to know if it is the truth.

"Do you think it is a mistake?" I asked feeling insecure. I glanced at Caroline and saw her staring at me with her beautiful blue eyes.

"Of course not." She said with out hesitation. "I love you Klaus." She said and that time I didn't listen to her heat beat. I knew without a doubt she was telling the truth.

We finally arrived to Caroline's house. I don't really know what to call it so for now I am just going to call it the 'safe house'. The beautiful yellow house was close to town but was still in the woods a little bit and of course close to the mansion.

I get out of the car using my vampire speed to get to the other side of the door and open it for Caroline. I refuse her to ever open the door by herself.

"Oh my god. Its gorgeous." Caroline breathed as I snatched my duffel bag out of the back.

"I already furnished the house. I hope you don't mind." I explained to her.

I slip my hands into Caroline's leading her to the front door. It wasn't an amazing house, but it was big. It was a light yellow shade and white. There is a small side walk from the street leading you to the porch. I open the white door for Caroline to walk in and see the house for herself.

"I hope you like it I wanted to furnish it for you before you saw it so you didn't have to take care of that. I sort of guessed on what you liked, but then again I double guess myself-" I got cut off by Caroline placing her lips on mine. She kissed me passionately then pulled away quickly before I could kiss her back.

"Its absolutely amazing." She smiled widely. I couldn't help, but smile back. her smile was so contagious. "You bought me a house Klaus...that is more than amazing!" She exclaimed. I go in and kiss her, but this time I deepen the kiss. I pull away slowly then open my eyes and whisper,

"I am going to put this away you explore." I said referring to the duffel bag I am still holding. I almost start up the stairs before remembering the keys. "Caroline." I said and she turns around. I toss the keys at her and she snatches it out of the air and smiles at it. I disappear upstairs. There are three rooms upstairs. It is a lot like the Gilbert's house except bigger, lighter wood, and more windows. The light wood and windows make the house so much brighter and inviting.

Like Caroline.

I go into the room closest to the master bed room and set my duffel bag on the full size bed.

I am beyond happy that Caroline loves it and this way we can actually hang out like a normal couple.

I am so in love.

Caroline POV

After Klaus went upstairs I wandered the house. It was completely beautiful. I don't think there is any other house I rather have. For a split second I could see little kids running around and screaming. I could imagine Klaus picking up one of the kids and spinning him or her around as I watched him laughing.

Too bad that can never happen. I got really depressed about imagining that, but Klaus's love will always be enough for me.

"Love." I heard Klaus say and he wraps his arms around my waist and kisses my neck gently.

"Hi." I said smiling.

"So are you staying the night?" Klaus asked.

"It is a Friday so yeah..I can just tell my mom I am staying at Elena's." I explained to Klaus as I turned around still in his grip. Are lips are inches apart and I close the distance. Klaus kisses me back passionately and pulls me in closer by the waist. I pull away smiling. "You know this means I am going to need more clothes, not to mention more shoes." I said and Klaus laughed his handsome laugh. I love his laugh. I gave him a small peck on the lips smiling into the kiss. It wasn't long or passionate, but it was enough. It was all I needed.

"What was that for?" He asked noticing my small kiss.

"What I can't kiss my boyfriend?" I asked giggling a little.

"Oh so I can call you mine now?" Klaus said with a little brow raise. I blushed a little realizing I did just call him my boyfriend.

"Yeah I mean you have sure earned it." I said referring to the house he just bought and furnished for me.

"I guess I did." Klaus said smirking. He came even closer and I kissed him not wanting to wait anymore. "Wait a minute." Klaus stated pulling away.

"What?" I pouted.

"We need to take you shopping." He smirked.

"Klaus you can't just buy me off." I said putting a hand on my hip.

"Are you sure about that?" He questioned and I rolled my eyes tried of arguing.

"Fine, but you better keep that ego in check Mickelson." I said and walked towards the door of my new house ready to get my new wardrobe.

Time to start new.

A new start.

Seems like Caroline is ready for a start fresh.
