-The Next Day-
-Avalon's POV-

"Wait.. so, you attempted a flip, and landed on your face?" I asked between laughs.
"Yeah... broke my nose," He replied, causing us both to laugh.
"Well, I should teach you sometime," I offered, then taking a bit of my froyo.
"Totally. But, um.. what move did you do when you got those bruises? And, that scar doesn't look like it would come from a dace move..." He pointed out, I was shocked. I didn't know what to tell him.
"Umm.. the scar was.. I got in a fight," I lied.
"Did you win?" He asked.
"Um.. broke the guys arm!" I lied.
"Awesome! What about the move?" He asked.
"My first.. backflip," I replied, even though it was a lie.
"Well, Avalon, you seem like a really cool girl," He said taking a bite of his froyo.
"Thanks, Tyler. You seem pretty cool to. Besides dumping coffee on me," I replied, causing us to laugh again.
"Well, what about when you guys spin? Is it-"
I cut him off, "First of all, we don't 'spin,' dancers turn. There's a huge difference."
"Noted. But, is it hard? It seems hard turning and keeping your balance at the same time," He said.
"Sometimes, depending on how many times we turn, or what we're turning on," I explained.
"Oh cool, is dancing REALLY hard?" He asked.
"Yes. I've been doing it since I was six, but I started with ballet," I replied.
"I really wanted to try it," He said.
"Im sure Paige and Elena and Cyrus and Steven and everyone else on Fusion would be happy to teach you, we need as much help as we can get id we're going to beat Element," I said.
"Element?" Tyler asked.
"Element is a dance team we're taking up in a few weeks. I hate them with a burning passion," I explained.
"Oh. Any other teams you hate?" He asked.
"What are we playing twenty questions?" I asked, we both laughed, "But yeah. I don't like Skylark, Matrix, and Paradise. Most of them are assholes, but I do like Abyss and Circa."
"Awesome, I think I know someone on Circa," He said.
"Really? Who?" I asked.
"Alexis Goldman," He said.
"Alexis? I love her! She has amazing flips," I said.
"Yeah... um.. shes my ex-girlfriend," He explained.
"Oh. Im sorry," I replied.
"Its fine its not your fault," He said.
"Well, I have practice tonight at six if you wanna come. I can asked Paige, Ivan, Steven, and Chloe if they can come in around four and we can teach you some basic moves," I offered.
"If its not to my trouble," He replied.
"Alright I'll text them,"
I took out my phone and texted Paige, Chloe, Ivan, and Steven.
A: Hey! Can we meet up around 4? I got a friend who I wanna teach some moves 2.
P: Sure. sounds fun.
I: I can make it, I can teach him/her round offs and backflips
C: totally! But I might be about ten minutes late.
S: Cool I'll be there.
"They said they'd be there at four," I said putting my phone back in my pocket.
"Awesome. Should I wear anything specific? Or bring anything?" He asked.
"Wear baggy jeans, sneakers, a tank-top or t-shirt, a water bottle and a sweatshirt," I replied. We threw our empty froyo cups away and left Orange Leaf.
"Okay. Now, more about you, what about a family?" He asked.
I groaned. "I have a mother, Anne, and a father, Dylan, and a sister Trina who is a smartass prick, and a older brother by two years Derek. I hate them all. They're all pricks and smart. My mom is a lawyer, my dad is a writer, my sister is a straight A+ student, and my brother just got accepted for Yale."
"Wow, your family is really smart," He said.
"I know, but.." I stopped for a second, "They're disappointed in me,"
Tyler and I sat down on a bench and he just stared at me. "How?"
I sighed, "My parents are so sophisticated and... Im not. My mom wanted me to grow up and be a doctor or a vet, but that's not what I wanted to do. I did ballet, and my mom was happy I was doing it. Then, I met Paige and she said she did hip-hop, and I tried it and loved it. My parents have never come to one of my competitions again. I wish they did, though. It would mean a lot to me."
"Wow. Im so sorry, Avalon. Its hard being different," Tyler said.
"Your telling me. My parents wish I was like them.. but Im not," I agreed.
"Well, anyway, its getting close to four o'clock, should we get going to the studio?" Tyler asked, I nodded my head and we started walking. We walked for a few blocks, but we still had about more black to walk.
"So, where is your studio?" He asked.
"Its  above that laser tag place," I explained.
"Lazer Craze?" Tyler asked.
"Yeah, that's it. I've never gone," I said.
"I LOVE that place, its so fun. Maybe I can take you sometime," Tyler offered.
"You don't have to," I replied.
"But I want to. I mean, your teaching me dance, this is my return. Maybe a second date," He replied.
"If you want to. Can I bring some friends?" I asked.
"Yeah. I'll bring my friends, there's three of them," He said.
"Okay great. I was going to bring Elena, Paige, and Cyrus if that's okay," I replied.
"That'd be great," he said.
Yep. I was falling for him.
