Someone hugged me. I didn't know or care who it was, but I hugged them back. I started crying. I thought it was Sam, preparing to tell me Colby was dead.
"I promise I won't leave you."
I opened my eyes and broke from the hug. I saw exactly who I wanted to; Colby. I started crying even more. Colby pulled me into another hug.
"It's okay. I'm right here. We're all okay." Colby comforted me. "I love you."
"I love you too, Colby. I was so scared that I wasn't gonna see you again." I cried.
"Stop crying... Its okay. Calm down." Colby let go of the hug and rested his hands on my shoulders. He wiped away my tears and helped me stand up.
I hugged him again and he rocked us side to side. I couldn't help but to let my last few tears escape into his sweater. I let go and looked into his eyes.
"Colby?"
"Yeah?"
"I love you."
"I love you too."
I kissed Colby, not caring that the other guys were watching. Colby put a hand on my face and rubbed my cheek with his thumb.
We both pulled away and looked into each other's eyes. We hugged for the millionth time, but it's really all we could do. Sam joined the hug, then Elton and Corey.
"What are we going to tell Amanda and Devon when we get back?" Corey asked.
We laughed at Corey's question.
"Really? Thatd the first thing you say after all this?" Elton asked.
We laughed again.
"Lets go home." Sam said.
We all broke from the group hug, and that's when the pain hit me like a bullet. Thankfully, it wasn't an actual bullet.
I fell down from the pain, not knowing if I could even stand up, let alone walk.
"(Y/n), are you okay?" Colby asked, kneeling next to me.
"I just... Ow..... I can't stand up." I managed to say.
"C'mon. Lets get you out of here." Colby picked me up and carried me out of the warehouse. He set me down in the passenger seat of his car and we drove to the hospital.
...
I left the hospital with a broken collarbone, fractured ankle, and a bandage wrapped around my head. I looked like I had just gotten in a car crash, but that was in high school.
Now, I'm barely getting out of Soren's wrath alive. So is Colby. I had only one crutch to walk with because of my broken collarbone, otherwise I would have had 2, meaning my ankle will take a little longer to heal.
Colby drove us home with a wrist brace on his left hand. When he fell through the roof, he caught on to a metal bar and barely held on because he popped his wrist out of place.
That night, I didn't have a nightmare. And the night after, nothing. I hoped they were gone for good. I'm happy to be home, living like a normal person. Well, normal with a few injuries.
