Soulmate AU: where a counter for when you meet your soulmate is on your right wrist, and the day that your soulmate dies is tattooed on your left.

Two days. That was all. Two days was how long you would actually know your soulmate. He would die two days after you would lay eyes upon him for the very first time.
You tried to push the thought out of your mind. You just didn't want to think about it.  I mean who would want to think about it.
You walked down the streets toward Hope's Peak High.  This was where you were going to go to school.  You had gotten in for your amazing talent.  So did all of the other students who would be attending.  You briefly looked at your right wrist.  The counter was still going.  It was supposed to reach zero in fifteen hours.  Maybe your soulmate would go to school here.
The second you stepped onto the school grounds, everything went black.

You woke up in an empty classroom, all alone.  You jumped up. None of this was familiar.  You saw a note that was left on the table.  It said to go to the gym.  You walked out the door and tried to find the gym.  You looked down at your wrist.  Maybe the timer had stopped.  After all, what was the chance that your soulmate would make it to Hope's Peak?
But, the counter kept ticking.  You only had twenty minutes left. Wait, twenty minutes?! You kept walking down the halls. Your heart beating faster as every second on your wrist ticked by. Your soulmate was probably waiting for you.
Ten minutes
Five minutes
One minute
That's when you heard footsteps.  You walked closer.  The final seconds came to an end, and you looked up.  There was a boy(man, teen, boy idk) standing in front of you.  He had fiery red hair and a red beard to match.
"You must be my soulmate!" You both said in unison.
You both smiled.
"It's nice to meet you!" You said.
"Same to you!" He replied.
After having this sick game explained to you, you walked to your room.  That's when you connected the dots.  Your soulmate was going to die tomorrow.  You ran out of your room and sprinted to Leon's room.  You knocked repeatedly at his door.  An annoying voice that belonged to a certain bear came over the speakers.
"Get to your rooms, brats, or you know what'll happen!" He said.
You sighed.  Leon was probably just asleep. Right?  You walked to your room and locked the door behind you.  You didn't manage to fall asleep though.  You had just met your soulmate.  You couldn't lose him already.  You woke up and walked back to the gym.  There was talk about how Maizano had been murdered.  You looked for Leon.  You ran to him.
"You're still alive!!!" You said happily.
"Why wouldn't, I be?" He asked nervously.
"No reason." You answered.
You couldn't simply tell someone they were going to die in a matter of hours.  That wasn't right.  That's when there was a trial.  You were placed right next to Leon.  Maybe he wouldn't die today.  Fate can change.  You looked at your wrist, there was no change.  He was going to die today.  Leon started to sweat nervously.  Now, it was obvious that Leon had committed the crime.  He had been voted guilty.  He started talking about how it wasn't his fault.  He fell to his knees.  A chain clamped to his neck, but he didn't go anywhere.  Tears leaked from his eyes.  You put your hand on his shoulder and bent down to his level.  You gave him a quick kiss on the forehead and wiped away the tears that were falling down his face.  That's when the chain started to pull him away.
You didn't know whether to watch the execution or not.  You didn't want to see him die, but this would be the last anyone saw of the famous Leon Kuwata.
