When I got into Mrs. Flarist's class, I saw her rubbing her head. I decided to ignore it and walk to my seat. When I got there, I immediately turned behind me. Emily was drawing in her notebook with a smile on her face. It's adorable how she acts now. At least to me it is.
I poked her head and waved at her when she looked up. She smiled back while putting down her pencil. "How have you been?" She asked me.
"I've been good. How about you with Tyler?" I asked her. I took out my notebook just for fun now.
"It's been going well. What have you been up to?" She asked me. I smiled and told her that I went on a date with Jacob. "Who's that?" She asked.
I honestly don't blame her. I doubt she has any classes with him. "He's in my swimming class. He's a good guy. He took me to see a romantic comedy." I told her.
"That's sounds like fun." She said as bell rang.
I turned to the front of the room to see Mrs. Flarist write something on the board. To my delight, all it said was use this time as a study hall. I completely understand why she did this. I would be getting frustrated too if everything I planned was ruined day by day.
I turned back to Emily to see Taylor sitting next to her. She was smiling at me with that smile. You know that smile. The smile of "I know something."
I tried to ignore it and greeted her like I usually do. "I heard you went on a date." She immediately responded. A bit awkward to avoid the topic now. I kinda wanted to though.
"Yep." Emily said before I could say anything. There goes any chance I had to avoid it.
"So, how was it? Did you guys already do it? How far did you let him go? How good was he?" She asked one right after the other. I was a little afraid that she would run out of breath.
"We didn't do anything like that." I said before she could ask anymore questions.
"Well that's no fun." Taylor said as she frowned at me.
"Sorry. Not everything leads to some extraordinary night." I said to her. She pouted at me while looking down at my boots. I immediately put my feet under the desk, far away from her.
"No fun." She said as she turned her gaze to Emily. I decided to do the same, noticing that her and Tyler were kissing. It was cute, that I will admit.
I looked away to the time. It seemed that barely any time has passed. I don't know wether to take it as a good sign or a bad sign. Either way, I was ok with it.
I began to zone out when I noticed Taylor reaching over to me. I immediately swatted away her hand, causing her to retreat. "No fun." She said as she sat in the seat.
"Sorry." I said while smiling at her. She smiled back. I think it was out of reflex because she immediately turned away and frowned again.
Silence began to fall on us, except for Emily's recent laughter. I didn't turn to see what was going on. That part was obvious.
I did spend the rest of class doing absolutely nothing but drawing in my notebook. I'm no artist but I can do enough for me to be proud of it.
The bell eventually rung and we all went to our separate classes. Math is its standard at this point. Little worried because I do have a test coming up. Hoping I do well.
He went over all we learned for the last couple weeks. It took the whole class to do this. I will admit that I am grateful for it but still felt like it took a while.
When the bell rang again, I immediately left and walked to lunch. To my surprise, neither of them were there yet. I immediately got my food and sat down at the usual table. Since I was the first one there, I decided to use the seat across from me as a footrest.
