It's the day of the dance! I was nervous when I was getting ready. I had to spend all day walking around in heels and by the time 4pm came, I was a natural at it. I had my dress on and even painted my nails a deep red. I figured I would wear a lot of red today.

Jacob picked me up at 4pm. My parents were a little skeptical, but I managed to calm them down. When we got in the car, he looked so great. His suit was perfect, I wanted us to get a private room right then and there. I did make plans with Taylor though, so I had to go to the dance.

Jacob also complemented me on my dress. I explained to him that Harley helped me pick it out. The conversation went something like this.

"I like your dress. It matches you, but I will admit that it is a little exposing." He said.

I immediately blushed when he finished. "Thanks. Harley picked it out for me when I went over to her house." I explained. My voice was low, the exposed part was Harley's idea anyway. I'm sure she did this just so she could tickle me.

"Explains it. I thought I saw it before." He said.

"You knew all about her and you didn't tell me?" I asked.

"I thought it would be more fun for you to learn it by yourself. Was it?" He explained.

"If you count being tickle tortured fun." I mumbled under my breath.

In all honesty, I didn't mind the dance that much. It was fairly boring. I did see people that stumbled in, some people threw up, and others tried to escape with their dates.

Jacob had both my ticket and his ticket. When we got to the entrance, he handed the teachers both of our tickets. We walked in and Taylor was right at the entrance. She wore a yellow dress with flats. It looked cute on her, and sparkled slightly. It looked brand new as well.

Emily and Tyler were there as well. They showed up within seconds of us meeting with Taylor. Emily was wearing more of a blue ballroom dress, kinda like those in movies, while Tyler was wearing a blue suit to match. Emily was wearing flats as well, just for people wondering. They looked adorable together.

"Hey!" I said to them, talking over the music. I was holding onto Jacob at this point. I may know how to talk, but I didn't know how to keep standing without moving.

"Hey." They said back. They couldn't hide their faces well, even though they were trying. They tried to hide their laughter from me. Probably because I can barely stand still.

"Harley is left." Taylor said.

I nodded as Jacob began to escort me to the dance floor. The others just laughed at my struggle. "Why are we going to the middle?" I asked.

"To dance." He responded. I couldn't stop myself from blushing. We got as close to the middle as we managed, since some people got sick. I did request to get farther, but we weren't able to go that far.

Conveniently, the song changed to a slower song. He smiled at me as we began to dance like we did in middle school. I could feel my face get red hot, but I didn't want to stop. As we danced, he slowly got closer to me. I couldn't even look at him anymore. Instead, I looked towards where we left Taylor and the others.

When I did, I saw Harley and Catherine inside. Catherine was wearing a slim light blue dress with heels while Harley had a bright purple dress with flats on. "They're here." I said to him.

"Oh?" He said softly. I could feel his breath on my ear. It made me shiver. I slowly turned back to him, but he kissed me before I could do anything. I kissed him back obviously, but I didn't know how to react.
