I got to school and waited for class to start. To my surprise, Tyler wasn't there with Emily. Taylor was sitting next to her, talking to her. I sat in my usual seat and looked back.

"What's going on?" I asked.

"Tyler is sick." Taylor explained while rubbing her hand on Emily's back. I sighed and looked at Emily. She seemed a little drained without him. I feel a little bad for her.

"You'll be ok. It's just one day." I told her.

"Ya. I guess." Emily said as she kept looking down at her desk. Her notebook wasn't even out. I was a little worried about her now when I noticed that.

I never seen her like this. She was either drawing or doing something else. It's a bit concerning when she becomes like this. But that wasn't the only surprising thing that happened.

When the bell rang, class began. I mean, Mrs. Flarist actually started teaching a lesson. This took everyone by surprise, and she looked like she really wanted to teach as well. I say she just wants an excuse to torture us.

We all took out our notebooks and began to take notes on a random book that was made thirty something years ago. The thing was that everyone left the book that she handed out at home.

She got mad because of this and turned on someone's shoes at random. Within seconds, we heard someone giggling from the other side of the room. "Better not forget tomorrow, or else you will be punished." She threatened. I also didn't want to give her the power.

"This sucks." Taylor said just before turning into a giggling mess. I looked down to see her kicking her feet.

"And no talking." Mrs. Flarist added. She was taking this seriously. I didn't want her to activate mine, nor another detention. I just kept to myself and took my notes, and made sure she had no reason to turn on my boots. The most unsettling thing about this was that she never turned off the boots for Taylor or the other students.

I quickly looked at Taylor and saw that she was in tears. She usually liked being tickled, but she was pushed beyond that point. It looked like she was suffering at this point.

The class went by slowly, very slowly. It felt like a year went by before the bell rang. Once it did, Taylor and the other person, still couldn't see them but I heard the laughter stop, were able to breathe. I got up immediately and left for my next class.

Math was as usual, boring. Everyone was there and we all stayed quiet. I guess they heard what had happened in Mrs. Flarist's class. The other thing that I noticed was that more people were looking at me.

Once class ended, I went to meet up with Taylor and Emily. I was hoping that Emily was feeling better.

Sadly, my hopes were dashed when I sat next to Emily with my food in front of me. I began to eat, but Emily wasn't. Taylor was at her other side and she was patting Emily's back. Emily wasn't eating or anything. It seemed like she wasn't trying to do anything.

I looked down in front of her, noticing a piece of paper resting on top of her drawing notebook. I hesitantly picked up the piece of paper and looked at it.

To summarize it, it looked like a break-up letter that was written by an English student. What was worse was that Tyler's name is on it. "Who have this to you?" I asked Emily.

"Not Tyler." She said. I guess she would know him better than us, but it's a bit quick for her to memorize his handwriting.

"How do you know?" Taylor asked.

"I memorized his handwriting at this point. It isn't his. Not even the name is right." Emily explained.

"Then that would mean that someone wants to break you two up." I said without thinking. I was already eating, that's why.
